We had the good fortune of connecting with Annette Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annette, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my business, I knew that I needed something flexible. I have a family and needed something I could do to fit around all of the crazy schedules in my house. I also wanted to do something creative and that I was passionate about. I’ve always loved photography and knew it would be the perfect business venture.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Whats great about being a photographer is you’re always going to be different from everyone else. You are able to have your own style and vision for photoshoots. I am always excited for work. I never know exactly how things are going to turn out until i get there. I may have a vision but each individual client brings their own element and uniqueness to the table and thats what creates the magic, thats what excites me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh this is an easy one, lol, Its Colorado!
-I’d welcome my friend to town with a trip to the Rino district. We could see art and eat at some of the amazing restaurants they have in the area.
-We’d go see a few shows at the Denver Theatre
-A train ride through the Royal Gorge
– Check out the Botanical Gardens
-Drinks at Union Station
-Bike ride through the trails in Castle Rock
-Of course do some shopping
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank all of the local photographers in Castle Rock for always encouraging me.
