Meet Austin Wickham

We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Wickham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the brand has been showing up as myself — consistently and unapologetically. I’ve built everything around honesty, integrity, and relationships. At Red Rock Roofing, we’re not just replacing roofs — we’re building trust with families, homeowners, and professionals across Colorado.
I’ve always believed that people do business with people, not companies. So I invest in people. Whether it’s taking time to truly listen to a client’s needs, supporting a local event, or connecting with realtors and mortgage brokers, I show up with the same energy and commitment every time.
Social media has also played a big role — not as a marketing tool, but as a way to pull back the curtain and let people see who I really am. What you see online is exactly what you get in person. I think that authenticity is rare in this industry, and it’s what’s helped me stand out and form real connections that last.
At the end of the day, success for me isn’t just about numbers — it’s about impact. And if I can leave people feeling seen, heard, and helped, then I’ve done my job.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m currently a Senior Project Manager with Red Rock Roofing, and what sets me apart isn’t a title — it’s how I show up for people. I’ve always believed that this industry, at its core, is about trust. You’re not just fixing roofs — you’re protecting families, homes, and investments. That’s something I take personally.
When I first got into the roofing world, I didn’t come with decades of experience — I came with hustle, a heart for people, and a drive to learn everything I could. And truthfully, it wasn’t easy. I had to prove myself in a competitive space, earn trust one relationship at a time, and learn how to navigate both the business and emotional sides of working with homeowners during some of their most stressful moments.
What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to build authentic relationships — with clients, realtors, insurance agents, and the community. I’ve leaned into social media, not just to market, but to show people who I really am. No filters, no gimmicks — just real conversations, transparency, and integrity. That’s how I’ve grown, and that’s what I’m excited to keep building.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that consistency and character will outlast talent every time. Show up. Be honest. Care more than you’re expected to. That mindset has opened more doors for me than any sales script or pitch ever could.
If there’s one thing I’d want the world to know about me or my story, it’s this: I’ve built who I am by just being me. I care deeply about people. I believe in doing the right thing even when no one’s watching. And I’m just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to town for a week, here’s how I’d show them the best of Colorado:
First off, I’d kick things off with a chill day in downtown Erie — grab coffee at Fox Dog, walk around the local shops, and hit 24 Carrot Bistro for a solid farm-to-table dinner. That place never disappoints.
Next, we’d head to Boulder for some hiking — probably take the Royal Arch Trail or Chautauqua, followed by beers and burgers at The Sink, a Boulder classic. One night we’d catch a show at Red Rocks — doesn’t matter who’s playing, that venue is pure magic.
We’d definitely carve out a day for Denver. Brunch at Snooze, explore RiNo for murals and breweries, maybe hit a Rockies game if it’s baseball season. Dinner? Either El Five for the view or Guard and Grace if we want to go all out.
Midweek, we’d head to Colorado Springs — take in Garden of the Gods, maybe do the Incline if we’re feeling bold. On the way back, we’d stop in Castle Rock for outlet shopping or to just cruise.
For a more laid-back day, I’d show them around the local spots I love — maybe drop by one of our Red Rock Roofing projects, hit up Lazy Dog or The Rusty Melon for dinner, then wind down with a backyard hangout.
To wrap it all up, we’d spend the final day in the mountains — maybe Breck or Estes — just soaking in the views, maybe rent a cabin and grill out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, my shoutout goes to the people who believed in me when I first joined Red Rock Roofing — my family, close friends, and the community that’s supported me from the very beginning. My wife, Lauren, has been a rock through the highs and lows, always standing by me during the long nights, big goals, and the grind that comes with building something meaningful. And our daughter, Autumn, gives me purpose beyond the business — everything I do is to build a future she can be proud of.
I also have to shout out the team at Red Rock Roofing. We’re more than just coworkers — we’re a family that pushes each other to grow and show up for the people we serve. Guys like Nelson and others I’ve worked alongside have taught me that success isn’t just about hustle; it’s about heart and consistency.
Beyond that, I’ve been blessed with an incredible network of realtors, mortgage brokers, and community leaders who’ve poured into me, offered guidance, and opened doors simply because they believed in my integrity and work ethic. I’ll never take that lightly.
Lastly, God deserves the ultimate credit. My faith keeps me grounded and reminds me that every connection, every opportunity, and every ounce of success is a gift meant to be used to uplift others.
I’ve never built anything alone — and I wouldn’t want to.
