Meet Brandi Jennings | Licensed General Contractor Class A, Founder and President of BFAB Construction

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Jennings and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, but the real turning point came when I was working for another general contractor and had to go on medical leave due to chemotherapy. In that season, I realized that starting my own business would give me the flexibility to control my hours, provide for my children, and still do the work I loved.
While I was on leave, I started taking on my own projects, and things took off much faster than I expected. By the time my medical leave ended, my business was thriving. My employer at the time was incredibly supportive—he actually encouraged me to continue building BFAB Construction and has remained a mentor to me to this day.
After COVID, I briefly returned to working for someone else, but I quickly saw that I couldn’t control how customers and subcontractors were treated or how payments were handled. That experience really confirmed for me that I needed to pour myself fully back into BFAB, where I could ensure integrity and fairness in how people are treated.
Ultimately, I believe that when I align my work with God’s will, the blessings follow. Running BFAB has not only been a way to support my family, but also a way to create a business that reflects my values of honesty, service, and stewardship

What should our readers know about your business?
BFAB Construction was born out of both necessity and passion. What sets us apart is that we don’t just build structures — we build with purpose, integrity, and heart. I approach every project with the mindset that it should serve people well, stand the test of time, and reflect honesty in how customers and subcontractors are treated.
I am most proud of the resilience that built this business. It wasn’t easy. Those early days taught me that strength and perseverance aren’t just qualities you admire in others — they’re things you have to practice every day if you want to survive and grow. I learned to adapt, to trust God’s plan, and to keep moving forward, even when the obstacles seemed overwhelming.
Of course, there were challenges — from balancing family needs to navigating the ups and downs of the construction industry, and even starting over after returning to work for another GC post-COVID. But I overcame them by leaning on my faith, by staying grounded in my values, and by surrounding myself with a support system that reminded me of my “why.”
The biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way are: integrity matters, relationships matter, and never compromise on treating people right. The way you treat your clients, your subcontractors, and even your competitors is part of the legacy you leave behind.
What I want the world to know about BFAB is that we’re not just a construction company. We are a family-rooted, faith-driven business that values transparency, hard work, and leaving things better than we found them. My story is proof that adversity can fuel purpose — and that when you walk in alignment with God’s will, the blessings will follow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d want to give them the full Colorado experience — the mountains, the adventure, and the little gems that make living here so special.
Day 1 – Welcome Ride & Local Eats
We’d kick things off with a Harley ride through some of Colorado’s scenic backroads, stopping for a classic Colorado meal (green chili is always a must). Afterward, we’d stroll a local downtown area to check out shops, murals, and live street music.
Day 2 – Denver Culture & Music
We’d spend a day in Denver exploring Union Station, the art scene in RiNo, and catching a concert at one of the local venues. Denver always has something happening — from big-name shows to local musicians, there’s no shortage of good live music.
Day 3 – Red Rocks & Golden
We’d ride out to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where even if there isn’t a concert that night, the hiking and views are unforgettable. After that, we’d hang out in Golden, walk Clear Creek, and maybe grab a bite at a mountain café.
Day 4 – Hot Springs & Mountains
Colorado has some of the best hot springs in the country, so we’d head up to Glenwood Springs or Pagosa Springs to relax and recharge. Nothing beats soaking in hot mineral water surrounded by mountain views after a ride or a hike.
Day 5 – Rocky Mountain National Park
We’d spend a full day in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Between scenic Harley rides, wildlife sightings, and some of the most iconic hikes in the Rockies, this would be a highlight of the trip.
Day 6 – Garden of the Gods & Pikes Peak
Heading south, we’d explore the red rock formations at Garden of the Gods — a great mix of hiking and sightseeing. From there, we’d take the scenic ride up Pikes Peak for breathtaking views.
Day 7 – Family & Wind Down
On the last day, we’d slow down and soak it all in. Maybe a light hike in the morning, another dip in a local hot spring, and then finish with a family-style dinner at home. For me, the best part of Colorado is sharing it with the people I love, so having my kids and grandkids join us would be the perfect way to wrap up the trip.
To me, Colorado is about adventure, music, nature, and connection. Between the Harley rides, the hot springs, the concerts, and the endless trails, there’s always something exciting to discover — and that’s what makes it unforgettable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to first give a shoutout to my dad, who gave me my work ethic and has supported me unconditionally throughout my life. His example of perseverance and integrity has shaped the way I approach both business and life.
Next, my children deserve recognition, because in the early days they were my ‘why’—the reason I needed to create flexibility and independence. Now that they’re grown, my grandchildren and leaving a legacy to them have become my why. They continue to be my greatest cheerleaders and motivation to keep pushing forward.
I would also like to recognize my former employer, **Rich Keeran at KTK General Contracting**. When I was on medical leave, he not only gave me his blessing to pursue my own business but has continued to mentor me along the way. His support and encouragement made a lasting impact on my confidence and success as a business owner.
And most of all, my shoutout goes to my fiancé, **Michael Crawford**. Without his encouragement and unwavering support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Michael has stood by me through the long hours, the relentless demands of customers, and the late nights when business needed my full attention. He not only believes in me but constantly reminds me of the bigger picture—helping me balance ambition with love, family, and faith. His partnership has truly been a blessing, and I couldn’t imagine this journey without him.
