We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Becker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started Cirque with my friend and business partner, we wanted to change how people view food trucks. We wanted to elevate how food trucks can serve high quality food at a fast pace. We wanted to create a mobile restaurant. Offering fresh, sustainable, as organic as possible, Made to order food.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Id Say the things that keep me busy professionally; would be to always push the boundaries of what I can do on the truck. I’m always reading and studying new techniques and ideas to implement in the food truck and in my catering business. Just this year we have implemented using Melamine Plates instead of the compostable plates at our breweries and our caterings. We feel they offer a higher touch of service, and it’s a little more sustainable, as we are able to compost the waste, and reuse the plates. We Still use Compostable silverware as well.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well we would visit all of Juan padros restaurants for sure. All of his concepts are outstanding. We would also visit the 5th string. Pony up, Deviation Distilling and Laws Whiskey house. Also all of Colorado’s great breweries, to name a few; ratio. Bruz, new terrain, 4 noses, and green mountain.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Biker Jim aka Jim Pittenger. He was the one who helped get me into the mind set and jump right into this kind of business. He was there when I needed questions and he was super helpful.
Another big shout out is to Eric vollono and Devlin O’Connor, both private chefs who help when called upon, we all have our own business, but help each other and grow our businesses together. We have created an amazing little community of Event staff, and support staff that all help us out when called upon. Couldn’t have asked for better friends in the industry.
