Meet Christi Reece | Realtor, CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christi Reece and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I realized early on that no matter how hard I worked, I couldn’t do everything myself. The real key to growth was building a team of people who not only had talent, but who shared my vision and were a genuine culture fit. Skills alone aren’t enough—if someone doesn’t embrace and execute the leader’s vision, they can hold the entire company back. Today, our culture is one of our greatest strengths. It makes recruiting easier, keeps us cohesive, and shines through in everything we do—especially our marketing.

What should our readers know about your business?
In any industry, the leap from salesperson to business owner is huge—but surrounding myself with an incredible team made that transition not just possible, but rewarding. Every quarter, I take a hard look at where my time and talents are best spent for the good of the company, and that “highest and best use” is always evolving.
Having a business coach has been game-changing. It’s given me a fresh perspective on challenges, helped me spot opportunities I might have missed, and pushed me to think bigger. I believe our success comes down to three things: a strong work ethic, a genuine desire to see others succeed, and the willingness to take smart, calculated risks while protecting our culture and public professionalism.
One of the things I’m most proud of is our Circle Fund. A portion of every commission goes to nonprofit organizations in our community—chosen by our clients. Since launching it in 2019, we’re closing in on $500,000 in donations. It’s one of the best parts of being an independent firm—we get to do business our way, with generosity baked right in.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d kick things off with an early-morning hike to Independence Monument in the Colorado National Monument—nothing like sweeping views over the Grand Valley to set the tone for the week. Lunch would be a fresh, colorful salad at Café Sol in downtown GJ, followed by paddleboarding on the Butterfly Pond right outside our CRG office. We’d wrap up the day with a picnic dinner—charcuterie from The Hog and Hen, of course.
Day two would be all about the Palisade wine route on e-bikes, stopping at as many of our fantastic wineries as possible, then dinner at the always-amazing Peche. On day three, we’d slow it down with a scenic drive through the Colorado National Monument and a hike on one of its many fabulous trails, followed by dinner at Bin 707.
Day four? An outdoor concert at Las Colonias Amphitheatre, then beers at Ramblebine Brewery to keep the vibe going. Day five would be a leisurely raft trip down the Colorado River, capped off with what I swear is the best stromboli you’ll ever eat—from The Hot Tomato in Fruita.
On day six, we’d hike Pollock Bench in Fruita, keeping our eyes peeled for ancient dino bones, then spice it up with dinner at Karma Kitchen. Finally, Sunday morning would start at the Palisade Farmers Market for local art, food, and fresh produce, before heading up to the Grand Mesa for a shady mountain bike ride through the pines and a refreshing dip in one of the lakes. Back to Palisade for food at Fidel’s Cocina, and a stroll down the happiest block in America – winery, distillery, and weedery in one block!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and dad were the original dream team behind my success. They taught me the nuts and bolts of real estate, title, and customer service—but the real magic was that they never put limits on me. They made me believe I could do anything, and that belief has been my rocket fuel ever since. I also have to give a shoutout to my real estate coach, Tom Ferry. He’s helped me grow the business, run the business, and—most importantly—keep my head on straight while doing it.
