We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina ,Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a career in event planning because I could create a more accepting, cultural, movement. With my events, they are dynamic, educational, and extremely creative. As funny as it is for me to say it, on a professional level my company is a personal extension of me. The immersive experience I create through Food, Fashion, Fitness and Feelings come from my heart. With the help of local designers, influencers, educators, and businesses, I strive to show people just how transformational and beautiful self love can be. I design fashion shows that showcase authentic beauty for people from all different walks of life. I certainly do pride myself on having my hand in a few different pots, I enjoy having a focused message, but perhaps a few different creations in order to accomplish a particular goal. My events are like a creative mosaic. They have quite a few moving pieces, and more than likely a bunch of small projects in order to create one, big, healing picture for those struggling to accept/love their bodies.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the proud owner of a body acceptance brand. My events, mentorship programs, and modeling shoots help individuals go from feeling lost to feeling found through the power of self love. What sets my events apart from mainstream parties or ways to bring the community together, is my message. I want to inspire individuals struggling to love or accept their body to see another way of living. One that includes embracing their flaws, connecting with others through vulnerability with boundaries, and to have fun doing it! My events, mentorship programs, and photo shoots make meaningful connections and memories. Whether I am hosting an event or empowering an individual one on one, I want to inspire you to show up as your best. And show you what’s possible. If I can truly heal after a ten year battle with my eating disorder, so can you. If I can create authentic spaces and connections through my creativity to lift people up, that’s all I want to do for the rest of my life. I create mentorship programs where I help you grocery shop, style yourself, workout mindfully, and meditate to set yourself free with body acceptance mantras. My sponsors and specialists will help you be the best version of yourself. Lastly, as far as being comfortable on camera, I want to accentuate your perceived physical flaws, as some of your most beautiful strengths. I have photo shoots that are safe, creative, innovative, and custom to your unique needs!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
OMG well I would start with the lovely area I live in, Cherry Creek North. We would head over to Quality Italian for some bottomless bellini brunch, catch some morning views from the Halcyon rooftop, and stop over by Barolo Grille for some incredible dessert. Then, we could bike or scooter around downtown by Union Station, take some fun photos by the convention center, and head to some amazing spots in the Denver Highlands. El Five, Postiono, or Mizu are some great choices! For some close to town afternoon hikes, Mount Falcon or North Table Mountain would be excellent choices. Then for the evening we could head on over to the Denver Art Museum and have a picnic at Cheeseman or WashPark. Gosh I miss the precovid days!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shout out to my three best friends forever: Jennifer Nebistinsky, Lauren Cloward, and Christina Zajicek. For believing in my wildest dreams, pushing me to pursue it all, and for holding my hand on the multiple leaps of faith in building my legacy to leave for planet earth. I owe you more than I could ever try to give you in this one life, and I hope we still will always hold each other up to standards of self love. You are my soul family.
