Meet Christina, Remy, Amber (C4, Remy, Rene) | Hosts of Intelligently Ignant Podcast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina, Remy, Amber (C4, Remy, Rene) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, Remy, Amber (C4, Remy, Rene), what do you attribute your success to?
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Although the podcast industry is growing exponentially, this is still a new market for many people. To have a successful podcast, especially if you are co-hosting with others, it is critical that there is organic chemistry. One of the traits that separates podcasts from radio is that podcasts feel less scripted and more relatable. We all met on a dating app with a live stream feature that opened the doors for more than just finding a love interest — it gave people an opportunity to meet one another in a different way that you did not see on dating apps before. As we participated in live streams, we built relationships with people that resulted in us broadcasting our own stream. This interaction allowed us to engage in meaningful conversations and eventually develop a fanbase who had fell in love with our personalities. People began saying “You should start a podcast”. After 6 months of live streaming, the stars aligned and we came together to develop a podcast titled “Intelligently Ignant”, where humor and smarts meet right in the middle. It was a true reflection of who we were as people and why people fell in love with us. This was not easy in the beginning. We operate in three different time zones and had to find times that worked for everyone. In addition, we are all working professionals with full-time jobs and that also played a key part in how we would build consistency around our brand, given that we all had our own lives. Through the ups and downs, we remained passionate about what we started and have continued to find ways to expand and grow our brand. Whether it is better sound, quality of content, etc., we continue to brainstorm and remember why we are doing this.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since we all live and record from different states, here are some great places to eat, visit and hang out during your time in each of our homes:
Food: World Wide Taco (Los Angeles, CA), First Watch (Denver, CO), Miss Shirley’s Café (Baltimore, MD)
Hang Out: Disneyland (CA), Red Rocks (CO), National Museum of African American History and Culture (Washington, D.C.)
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would love to give a shoutout to our podcast coach, Carla Wilmaris. When we were building our podcast, she really helped us with laying out the foundation. She assisted with everything from audio equipment, engineering, editing, uploading our episodes to podcast platforms, etc. Learning from someone who has had great success in this industry and is helping others build their brand was a great starting point!
