Meet Christopher Foster | Body Artist & Piercer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create an inclusive environment for people to get professional body art services. The services I wanted to provide for clients are: tattooing, tebori tattoo techniques, permanent makeup, areola reconstruction, scar camouflage and piercing. Through all of these services I have helped people to express themselves through art and given them a way to heal from life changes or trauma.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a professional tattoo artist and I have spend many years in perfecting my craft. I have learned to do various styles and perform precise techniques that were taught to me by various artist over the years. This has helped with giving a great client experience and tattoo. One of my favorite services that I like to do for clients is areola reconstruction. This service not only brings joy to me but to my clients that are seeking to recreate what was lost from a horrible battle with cancer. I have found throughout my career that I am not only an artist but a healer as well. My tattoo studio is called Tranquil Soul Ink located in south east Aurora part of Southlands outdoor mall. The studio is a lgbtq+ owned and operated establishment. People from all walks of life seek me out for tattoos so that they can remember, forget and overcome transitions within their life journeys. My first, lessen that I want to share with you is to always try to be a good person! Secondly, helping others learn something new that can bring joy to the world is a great way to help with depression and mental health.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
*I would take them to the mountains to check out the various views and experience the wildlife. (Possibly Golden or Boulder)
* Visit Morrison to see the town and walk around Red Rocks Amphitheater. ( tour the music memorabilia that they have on display)
*walk downtown Denver through 16 Street Mall.
*Visit one of the various music venues to see a band performance.
*Eat breakfast at Snooze’s
*Attend a Rockies baseball game
*look for vintage vinyl records at various places throughout Denver and Aurora.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my loving and always supporting wife Sara Stone. She has stood behind me in every business venture I have been apart of and given me the drive for success. Having a great partnership between us has allowed for me to have a studio space to freely explore new techniques and offer a better experience for clients.
