We had the good fortune of connecting with Cole Gibbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After seeing all of the single use plastic waste being created by the Cannabis and Hemp industries, with no solution in sight. I founded Dama Distributing to pioneer the development of sustainable hemp plastic and compliant packaging solutions for the Cannabis and Hemp industries. At Dama Distributing we care about the world we live in, and strive to make the world a better place for us all. With only 9% of all plastic recycled worldwide, the plastic waste problem is growing out of control. That’s why Dama Distributing is on a mission to eliminate single use plastic waste, by offering truly sustainable packaging solutions for everything from seed to concentrates. So the Cannabis and Hemp industries do not drown themselves in single use plastic. Together we end plastic pollution.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Dama Distributing offers full customization options for all of our products. Including custom printing and labels. Our labels are printed with water based inks in a carbon neutral facility powered by the wind. Dama Distributing is the only company in the world offering a full suite of sustainable and compliant Cannabis Packaging. We are always adding new products to our line up. Dama Distributing is a Game Changer- December 2019, launched the World’s First and Only Truly Sustainable Child Resistant Hemp Plastic Containers on the market that will degrade by themselves in as little as 14 months (even if disposed of improperly). January 2021, launched the World’s First and Only Child Resistant Home Compostable Pre-roll Tubes. These tubes will degrade in as little as 180 days in your household compost. Dama Distributing recently partnered with Jestille LLC to provide 100% hemp plastics for the feminine care industry. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The beauty of Colorado is the access to the mountains and all the state and national parks. We would spend the week exploring all that Colorado has to offer. Stopping in small mountain towns for food and drinks. Every state has at least one vibrant city. Not everyone has access to 14,000′ peaks. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
