We had the good fortune of connecting with DaMario Mitzelfeld and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DaMario, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business came from a lifelong passion for film and video. Over the years, I kept learning, growing, and eventually fell in love with photography too. At a certain point, I realized I didn’t want to look back one day and wonder “what if?” So I decided to take the leap and turn something I love into my own business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of my biggest hurdles has been learning to truly believe in myself and stop letting doubt hold me back. A huge part of my journey has been realizing my own self-worth and embracing the value of what I create. Filmmaking and photography are constantly evolving, and I’ve come to see that it’s not about whether the glass is half empty or half full—it’s about the fact that my glass is always growing. That mindset has allowed me to keep pushing forward, always learning, and always expanding what I can do as an artist. Through my brand, World Wonders, we are here to capture and create amazing stories visually that deserve to be seen, and that mission continues to drive me every day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a best friend came to visit, I’d want them to experience the best of Colorado. We’d spend time exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and then head up to Red Feather for some camping. I’d also make sure we took a trip down south to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, it’s such a unique place that really shows off Colorado’s beauty and diverse environments. On the way there, we’d stop to pick up some fresh Colorado dry roasted green chilies that are absolutely irresistible. And of course, for food, I’d have to take them to my favorite spot in Fort Collins, Jim’s Wings, a small local shop with some of the best hot wings you’ll ever have.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a big shoutout to my family and friends for always believing in me and supporting me through this journey. I’ve also been blessed with a couple of amazing teachers who pushed me to keep growing and reminded me of what I’m capable of. And above all, I give thanks to God for guiding me and giving me the strength to keep moving forward.
