We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Oliver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
My daughter makes me happy, my husband makes me happy and sharing that love with others makes me incredibly happy! I started my business as a side hustle so I could stay home with my daughter. I am incredibly grateful it has allowed me to create moments and memories for others. I love doing custom work! Hearing peoples stories and creating something that is truly unique and one of a kind, specifically for them: Is really beautiful. I always try to build off what they imagine and deliver a full story when the box is opened! Personal interaction and experience has been lost over the years. I hope to create art that makes people wonder, smile and question!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a mixed media artist, I love to play with various techniques to create something new. I would say tho my creative drive has fully switched to preservation. I capture real snowflakes! Our vision is to collect snowflakes from every beautiful location we can around the world and display them as a universal collaborative art install. We are collecting photos and preserved snow crystals for our “Snow Globe Project” we hope to make this a public art install and collaboration amongst humanity. We have created collection kits and plan to guide individuals thru the season on their collection journey! Before this journey I wore many a hat. I owned a coffee shop and art gallery briefly. Worked as a business consultant. Waited tables. Life isn’t easy! I have never been afraid to start over. I believe my lessons learned, would boil down to being in love with finding who you are. I want people to start wondering again, to question the fun and mysterious! We should bring more art and play into our communities .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Bishops Castle is a must! Getting lost in the trees and admiring the creative ingenuity of one man is a marvel. Picnic at San Isabell lake with a bit of fishing. Always, have to stop by the Owl Cigar Store for a burger in Canon City, double double please! Depending on the season, morel mushrooms are always my favorite kind of scavenger hunt. I tell you my spot! If we are getting lost in the city, Rodizio is a special treat and the butterfly pavilion!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Family has always been my biggest support since I could remember. My mother Lori Wales, is truly the most beautiful human I have ever known. Her strength is really something to admire! She has always nudged me to pursue my art and passions. My husband Michael Masse, I wonder all the time how he hasn’t lost his mind. I am so thankful for his love. Juniper my daughter, she is my passion and fire.
