We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Brambila and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Five years ago; at 15 years old, my youngest brother, Johnny had an accident and lost his ability to walk. My family was devastated, and at the time, my parents lost their job and I almost lost mine after spending months at the hospital. This life transforming event led my family and I to realize we needed to have the flexibility and time to provide the additional support my brother needed. This motivated my mother and I to start our commercial cleaning business as partners, and we invested in a franchise with Coverall, one of the top commercial cleaning companies. Becoming business owners has not been easy, but it has allowed us to be able to prioritize family well-being as well as creating a business that provides a service to others and gives back to our community. Later in 2020; my middle brother, Giovanni, tragically passed away at only 18 years old. He left this world before even starting college, and he had so many big dreams and a full life ahead of him. He wanted to study Neuroscience because he was motivated and determined in finding a healing process for our brother Johnny. Gio was a brilliant and top student. specially in Math and Science. He had taken higher level education tests and had been accepted to several Universities. My second business; Brambelii, an online store, is dedicated to him and has created the Gio’s Purpose Foundation. The Gio’s Purpose Foundation is a scholarship fund that will serve to carry on his memory and make a positive impact in the lives of students. This scholarship will support students in need and help them achieve their educational goals, ensuring that my brother’s legacy lives on through the success and dreams of future generations. It is a way to honor his memory and fill others’ lives with hope!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe that in our commercial cleaning business, my mother and I are driven by our desire to create a well-established financial system that my brother Johnny can be a part of and benefit from in the future. My family’s main goal is that he always has the support he needs. We have seen him become more independent throughout time, although it has been a difficult journey. We also love that we are able to create jobs in our community and give back by providing services to different businesses like clinics, and banks. We strive to provide an exceptional cleaning service and we are known for our company’s reliability. As for Brambelii; it started as a jewelry line and a pet accessories line, with the purpose of donating most of the proceeds to the Gio’s Purpose Foundation. With both Brambelii and Gio’s Purpose Foundation, I plan to share Gio’s story in hopes that it will help parents and youth in different ways. One of them is the Gio’s foundation Scholarship. My main purpose is to honor Gio’s memory and continue his legacy by helping students with similar dreams and struggles and filling their lives with hope. Being able to fulfill this goal is what inspires me and helps me overcome challenges. I’ve learned to appreciate my loved mores more, and to always live in the moment because moments and memories are all we have.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love nature and find joy in being surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. Therefore, I would love to take my best friend to the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center! We could go hiking through the trails and see the wildlife habitat and all the different plants. We can also visit the Buffalo Bayou Park and do some bike riding. I own a Golden Retriever and visiting parks is one of our favorite things to do. As for a place to eat, I would definitely choose. Tourao Brazilian Churrasqueria. It’s a family-owned restaurant and they truly make you feel at a part of the family. Plus, their meat cuts are amazing. Since I love trying out new foods and dishes, I would also take my friend on a journey and explore different restaurants so that we both get to experience them for the first time together. Visting some of Houston’s Art museums, and other museums in general will also be included in our itinerary! To end one of our nights, I would also love to visit Ipic Theater for a VIP experience where we can have dinner while watching a movie.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I want to thank God because after all my family has been through, I have faith that we still stand strong because of him. I also wish that there were words greater than “thank you” for every family member and family close friends that have been there for my family through all the hardships. We have gotten this far and continue strong thanks to their continued support.
