Meet Elizabeth Corcoran | Owner of Rush Cycle Denver

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Corcoran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“This Must Be the Place”
This is a saying that we have used for awhile around the studio. I think it really speaks to all aspects of what we have created here. Rush Cycle has opened so many doors for myself and others, introduced some of the most influential relationships, and is a place of happiness, positive energy, and safety. I know that when I walk through those studio doors that I will be greeted with a smile and I will leave feeling so empowered. Who wouldn’t want to be apart of a place like that?!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Outside of being the owner of Rush Cycle Denver I also work full-time in marketing. My full-time job, although so fun and rewarding, is very demanding and often stressful. I have always used exercise as an outlet for stress in my life. I fell in love with Rush Cycle specifically because of the impact it had on my mental health, so it was a no brainer when the opportunity to purchase Rush Cycle fell into my lap. Being a business owner and working a full-time job has not been easy so I am proud of my team for being so understanding and willing to evolve as the business evolves. Life is full of challenges so it is nice to know that I can always come to Rush Cycle as an escape and not only see the people that I love but I can get an amazing workout in at the same time! I purchased the studio in November of 2020, in the middle of COVID, so there have been so many unknowns throughout this journey and I have no doubt that there will many more bumps in the road, however, the community that has been built at Rush Cycle has kept me pushing along. I am so grateful for the challenges that I have experienced that ultimately have lead me to be the woman that I am today!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
No trip to Denver is complete without an adventure in the mountains! I usually try to take visitors on a hike, out for a patio lunch, and then show them a good time on the town in The Highlands or RiNo. Really anything to be outdoors and share with others why I love being in Colorado so much!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This list is not short, I’m so blessed to be able to say that. First and foremost, my dad has been my biggest supporter and mentor throughout my journey as a business owner. I truly do not know where I’d be without his wisdom and guidance. The entire Rush Cycle team has been such an influence in my life, they deserve the biggest shoutout and hug. I have grown more learning from the strong, beautiful, and empowering women that I have been so lucky to be surrounded by. Rush Cycle would not be where it is without this team or our wonderful community. Lastly, my amazing friend Katie Crump, not only has she (and her family) been an amazing support system to me and Rush Cycle but she has helped guide me when making difficult decisions. Her sound and wise advice has made a large impact on who I am today.
I think the entire fitness community of Denver deserves a special shoutout as well. There is no shortage of places to get a great sweat in here and my experience has been that every community offers something unique but what they all have in common is a love for their community and the health and well-being of their community. That is something really special!
