We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Curry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I look at it as a counter balance- achieving a balanced life is a myth. As a woman, wife, mother, entrepreneur life pulls you in many directions- counter balance is how you survive. Having a relationship with my values & goals allows me to be appropriate in the moment. Some days that’s 1×1 coaching and some days it’s watching my daughter ride her horse.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
WOW, there’s so much…at the heart of what I do is to serve others to be the change. I want to impact lives that impact other lives. Learning what people want & how I can help them achieve it.
There is no easy button in business. You fail forward- you get knocked down and you get back up with a different understanding/perspective. I always come back with a fierce determination. Overcoming is the only option, and when you are clear on the WHY the HOW shows up. I’m also human, boxing is my outlet.
I would want the world to know that there are many routes to get to your destination, enjoy the journey- you only get one shot & don’t go it alone.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I LOVE playing in Fort Collins & Loveland CO
Old Town Fort Collins will be the menu for all food, drink & ice cream- there is a restaurant for every flavor. Tickets to the Lincoln Center attraction or show. A tour of the buildings and grounds of CSU, the gardens in the summer!
A good book, a museum, music concerts (Bocelli)- I appreciate the works of others, their talents.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband first, I could not do what I do without his support. He’s my protein dealer every 2 hrs when I’m in my profession, he literally fuels me. My daughter then drives me- they are my BIG why!
I joined Keller Williams in 2007 for the education & training- I stayed for the opportunities, education & training. In 2005 I joined the coaching division, KW MAPS and my mind has never been the same. I’ve studied under some of the greats in the industry. Gary Keller, Monica Reynolds, Tony diCello, Craig Zuber.
The Millionaire Real Estate Agent (bk) set the trajectory for my career.
The ONE Thing (bk) & Geoff Woods has shaped my relationship with my goals, values and where I invest my time.
No woman succeeds alone, I have a tribe of women in my world that are my support system. My 90yr old Abuela is my inspiration. My Tia is a compass, my friends are great sounding boards with no judgement.
