We had the good fortune of connecting with Greg Daily and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Greg, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Most of the time outsiders are unaware of how much we can track through digital marketing and just how much information Google and Facebook have on users. For example, most people think that Facebook tracks only activity on Facebook.com, which is incorrect. Any website that uses the “Use your Facebook login to register” login option has to send your activity on the site back to Facebook. Facebook also purchases large volumes of consumer information from consumer information groups such as consumer credit scores and such.
What should our readers know about your business?
We help clients find and keep customers through online advertising. We do this through scientific methodology and iterative testing. We are very proud of the fact that we get to help a wide range of businesses grow and flourish, which I personally believe is the foundation of a solid economy. One of the biggest challenges that we have to regularly overcome is how horrible of a job many people reporting to be digital marketing experts and agencies do. We constantly receive information back on agencies acting in ways that are not in the best interest of their clients, not transparent, not necessarily honest and sometimes not even legal. If I could leave one thought with the business community at large it would be that a focus on honesty and quality will pay the bills. Producing fast, low-quality and trashy work, even if it seems easier, will ruin you in the long run.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Denver has some fantastic restaurants. From the hole in the wall, Star Thai in Lakewood to Bar Taco on Pearl Street in Boulder, I would, and do, take them on a run around some of the best food in the state.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could not be where I am today without the support from my lovely wife and the three mentors who helped me find my direction in the early days of the business launch.
