We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Bartlett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, what do you attribute your success to?
Relationships – It took me a few years to work out what my super power was. Super power being something that I was good at but that also made my heart happy. My super power is relationships. I love building them, growing them and nurturing them. I tell my clients that our relationship doesn’t end at the closing table, they can’t get rid of me that easily.

What should our readers know about your business?
Giving value is extremely important to me. I don’t want to be a business that just takes and takes, I always want to be providing value in some form or another. Whether this value is by providing full guidance to my clients so they never feel lost in the buying or selling process or providing a parks guide to local families, I always want to be giving back to my community in some form. Giving value has helped me build wonderful relationships throughout my community which in turn has helped my business grow in a fruitful way. It did take me a minute to work out that by giving value I can grow amazing connections with people and have very happy clients. I wish I would have focused on it from day one in my business rather than chasing every little thing but once I worked that out I have grown my business on doing just that. This year I am focusing on giving in a more traditional sense by giving back to non profits that my friends and clients support, it just makes my heart so happy to be able to do this.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have done this many a time with my family from Australia. It really depends what time of year it is as to where we would go. I tend to stray away from downtown Denver and visit the outlying cities. Fort Collins is one of my favorite places to take visitors. We would head up to Horsetooth Reservoir first for a short hike and some beautiful views. We would grab lunch at Waltzing Kangaroo (Australian Bakery/Cafe that you have to check out), grab a beer and tour Odell Brewing then head out on a brewery tour because Fort Collins is full of great beer. We might need to stay the night after all that beer, the Armstrong hotel is a fun historical hotel right in the heart of downtown. If it is summer then a trip to the CSU trial garden and walk around the grounds is always a must too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My managing broker Brett Felz has supported me since day 1 of my career. Brett has always been supportive of me running my business my own way by helping me realize my strengths and building my business around those. My husband has been the pillar though. He has had to watch all the ups and downs as I grow a business that I am in love with. He has always encouraged, supported, wiped my tears and been there for me.
