We had the good fortune of connecting with Harrisyn Hartt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Harrisyn, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
I enjoy connecting with other artists from all over the world, and creating new things with them. Art, Music or Visuals I just need to create. This makes me happy because I find it quite fulfilling.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I wouldn’t use the term professionally because even after all of these years I am still paying dues. Creating art & music is almost never easy. Historically speaking, most of the best art & music has been created by people who are in conflict. Either with a group of people in a band, for example. Or with themselves. mental illness & creativity go together like peanut butter & jelly.  Unfortunately, the biggest lesson I have learned is people seldom mean what they say. When I was managing my old band Midnight Mosaic I often heard grandiose words that led nowhere. The By Proxy Collective is a Music & Art Collective built on a spirit of collaboration, love, and a lot of Cannabis. As far as a brand it’s ever evolving like me. To illustrate, up until a year or so ago I mostly created music only and only some visuals. Now I am fully immersed in visuals & music. In fact, I have dived so deep into visuals that I am taking Graphic Design courses in the hopes of doing that type of work full time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Tough question because I don’t have a best friend, and the world has been shut down.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to all of the artists I have worked with over the last 3 years. I’ve worked with artists from 4 continents & counting.
