We had the good fortune of connecting with JOEL CARRITHERS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JOEL, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Being a business owner and a father comes with benefits and challenges. Making sure to balance both can be difficult and rewarding. Keeping the two separate and knowing when to set the boundaries and keep those boundaries is very important. With being involved in sports I am able to incorporate the two. My family loves to go along to practices, sporting events and able to enjoy the atmosphere while I am working. Having a private chiropractic office can give me the flexibility to accommodate to my families needs. Being present for my children’s events and milestones has a very positive impact on them.
We started a family while opening our business so the two evolved with each other.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a chiropractor and Athletic Trainer. I work with all sort of populations helping people achieve their “movement” goals. Whether it is an athlete striving to improve their performance, or a grand parent wanting to be more active with their family. I have by managing any type of discomfort and then show them ways to maintain the strength and endurance with stretches exercises movement patterns to keep their active life style. Chiropractic care is a very individualized treatment, and specifying the treatment to the individuals needs and abilities is very important in health care.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Travel! I love the Mountains and Disney World! Mountains anywhere with good scenery. Going on adventure with a reward at the end. I love to eat! All kinds of foods! My favorite would be pizza, it can be so diverse!
Disney World walking around with the ones you love eating, riding rides and being a kid!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
