We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Kahn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Do what you love, love what you do…and find a way to make a living doing it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I do is a mix between business and art, so I choose both. What sets us apart from others in our industry are many things, but among them are a commitment to being the easiest entertainment company to work with, deliver a fantastic performance every time, and the heavy re-investment of our profits back into the business. Add on top of that knowing how to spend the dollars in the best way to grow a company, and you have a receipt for a very successful business quickly.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love when friends come to visit at the penthouse in NYC. I cook for them, we have a great time, and sometimes we even go boating on the water around NYC. There are incredible sights from the water that you just cannot get anywhere else, including circling the statue of liberty. So much fun!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents, incredible schools, incredible music and performance teachers, Berklee college of music, are all a part of enabling me to do what I do with music.
My team, my business partner, and my hundreds of incredible performers are all a part of enabling me to do what I do with business.
