We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Carton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
For my whole life I’ve been deeply inspired by Nature, the Cosmos, and how we as humans fit into the grand design of it all. From a very young age I remember questioning why we’re here on Earth and what our purpose is as humans, so it’s no surprise that I ended up in my career path as a Life Coach. For that reason, I’m continually inspired by people who question the status quo in their own personal lives as well as in communities around the world. I believe we each have a unique purpose and I love to see people shine their own light in ways that they only can. I’m just here to help uncover the brilliance everyone already has within.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a Transformational Life Coach, I serve my clients through my business Soul Legacy Inc. I’m most proud of how I lead with my heart in my work and support my clients in connecting with their hearts as well. Too often people go through life only living in their head; making decisions that make logical sense, but disregard what they would really love! Society as a whole generally encourages this way of living as well, so it can be a challenge to be brave and go for what you really want in life. That’s why I’m in business and why I do what I do – to help people develop a deeper trust in themselves and in life, so they can say YES to what lights them up the most and GO for it!
My journey to starting and growing my business was not easy at all. For the better part of the first two years, I struggled a lot. How I overcame the dozens of different challenges ranging from self-doubt, rejection, financial constrain and fear of being seen, was simply reconnecting with my dream. While simple, this one step was incredibly powerful to help me face all the challenges head on because anytime I reminded myself of my vision of having a thriving and successful coaching business helping hundreds of people, I would find the strength to not give up and keep going. One of the main lessons I learned along the way is that each one of us is more powerful than any circumstance or situation we will ever face. We may not always feel that way, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. Finally, what I want the world to know about me is that I believe we all can create and live a life we absolutely love. It’s not just for some lucky few. It’s meant for all of us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite places in the Denver-Metro area is Golden! I’d definitely go spend a day in Golden walking around the town to visit the shops, getting some tea at the Old Barrel Tea Company, going on a tour of the Coors factory, getting a delicious meal at the Buffalo Rose and strolling along Clear Creek Trail to enjoy the river. The peace and tranquility that Golden, Colorado offers in unmatched by any surrounding area in my opinion!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I first want to dedicate my shoutout to my Mom and Dad, Grace and Michael. Their unwavering support for me throughout my entire life has been such a solid foundation that I humbly stand on every day. Thank you Mom & Dad!! Also, I dedicate my shoutout to my mentor, Mary Morrissey. Her guidance and teachings have been a constant light in my life and have helped me discover my “True North”. Thank you so much Mary. And lastly, the first personal development book I ever read was in 2013 & it changed my life forever – Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to grow.
