Hi Kimberly, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I believe the financial services industry significantly impacts both local communities and the global landscape. The services we offer make a real difference in the lives of individuals, families, and business owners. Providing proper protection offers peace of mind, allowing people to navigate life’s uncertainties without worry, especially in the face of unexpected events like chronic, critical, or terminal illnesses. We empower individuals to plan for a secure financial future.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For the majority of my life, I was an employee, working in roles such as answering phones, customer service, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Now, as an entrepreneur, I feel incredibly fulfilled. Seeing the positive impact I make in people’s lives makes me wake up each day happy and grateful. While I don’t find the work itself to be difficult, it does require perseverance. Everyone faces challenges, and you need the grit to never give up. I deeply believe in what I do – educating, helping people, and setting them up to achieve their financial goals – and it is extremely rewarding.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Oakley, CA, in Contra Costa County, there are so many activities to enjoy. I particularly love taking daily walks along our numerous nature trails and in the parks. Witnessing the wildlife in the canal behind our house is a real treat – from beavers and otters to ducks, foxes, cranes, blue herons, and turtles – it’s incredibly refreshing to be surrounded by nature. Plus, we have a fantastic selection of restaurants, catering to every craving. And of course, the Bay Area offers many sights to see.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, a huge thanks goes to my husband, Minor Gamboa-Araya. Without his support, this wouldn’t be possible. He’s a big reason I got into this industry in the first place. We celebrated 33 years of marriage in June 2025. With two adult children, our youngest has special needs, so there were times I couldn’t work because someone always had to be with him. Minor never hesitated to work hard, long hours to support our family. My goal is to retire him!
