We had the good fortune of connecting with Krisangela and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krisangela, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Entertainment is a field where risk is simply part of the game. Originally, I began my career as an actor. Everything that we do is based on taking risks. choosing this field is a risk in that there are no guarantees, no hours to clock, no regular paychecks. but you have to commit 100% in order to find out what is possible. Auditioning holds a risk of not being selected, performing on stage holds the risk of judgment, positive or negative, from spectators and reviewers. It’s easy to say that I embrace the risk and uncertainty because I deeply believe in my myself and what I have to offer the world. I consider myself an entrepreneur, my talent is the product, and taking risks is an exciting and necessary part of building confidence and a strong career. Becoming and indie music artist was an easy transition for me. I’m not afraid of anything.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the queen of versatility. I sing, dance, act, and write original music. I have had a busy and successful career doing all the things that truly bring me joy, and I don’t take that for granted. I am most excited about whatever is to come in my career because I am at the top of my game and ready to take on the world. I have managed to build on each opportunity bit by bit, and I’m proud to say that the work speaks for itself. It was not always easy. The main challenges that I faced in the beginning was confidence. In a world where we are often told not to be too much or too loud, it’s easier to not put yourself out there. I had to unlearn that “be humble” bullshit, and adopt a better mindset. If you have something to share, do it unabashedly.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend was visiting I would take them to see some of the amazing theatre that Denver has to offer, it is truly a robust scene and community. I would take them to hear some local bands. I would insist on going on at least one hike.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Husband. Like I mentioned, my profession has no guarantees, and there are successes as well as disappointments. My husband has encouraged and pushed me beyond what I even thought was possible for my life and career. He expands on my aspirations. He sees potential that I don’t see sometimes. He is my biggest fan.
