We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Mary Oliver’s question, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” resonates deeply with me as a profound call to introspection and intentional living. It challenges me to reflect on the purpose and direction of my life journey. This quote emphasizes the uniqueness and preciousness of life itself, prompting me to value each moment and consider how I want to invest my time and energy. The term “wild” suggests a freedom to embrace my individuality and pursue my passions authentically, while “precious” reminds me of the inherent value and fleeting nature of life. What I appreciate most about this quote is its ability to inspire action and mindfulness. It encourages me to live with intention, making deliberate choices that align with my values and aspirations. Mary Oliver’s poetic language captures the essence of living fully and purposefully, motivating me to strive for a life that is meaningful, fulfilling, and true to myself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe many successful women have lost their spark, chasing an external view of success. They feel unfulfilled, disheartened, and numb, merely going through the motions of life on autopilot.

As the Founder of Wild Awake Woman, I mentor entrepreneurs and corporate leaders to manifest joy, health, happiness, and success by stepping into their true power. My mission is to guide women on a transformative journey, helping them reconnect with the genuine joy of living and step off the hustle train.

Having walked this path myself, I understand the exhilarating shift from striving to thriving. As a former high-achiever, I know that if I can make this empowering change, other women can too.

Wild Awake experiences focus on adventure and play, breaking down the barriers of “normal” and tapping into the joy of living. Working with me offers a fresh perspective on life, viewed through a lens of curiosity and possibility. I curate immersive experiences to re-ignite the inner spark of women who have lost their zest for life, guiding them to live with renewed purpose, passion, and possibility.

I specialize in experiential coaching, which enhances personal and professional development through hands-on learning. This dynamic approach goes beyond traditional methods, incorporating practical activities, simulations, and real-life experiences.

My coaching model includes equine-guided facilitated coaching, art experiences, movement, and whole-body living—a holistic approach that fosters a deeper connection and awareness of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By focusing on the interconnectedness of different life aspects, clients can achieve a balanced, harmonious, and fulfilling way of living, fully engaged in the present moment through the five senses.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
TestWhen visiting Denver, start with a visit to Union Station, where the historic charm and modern amenities make for a great start. The Denver Botanic Gardens offer beautiful landscapes and vibrant plant collections. Visit the Denver Art Museum and/or the Denver Natural History Museum for a deeper dive into Colorado’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The city offers a variety of top-rated restaurants for dinner and end the evening in LoDo to experience the lively nightlife.
If you are visiting Colorado, a trip to the mountains is a must. If you’re looking for a short getaway, consider visiting Evergreen and enjoying a leisurely stroll around Evergreen Lake. For a more extensive adventure, venture to iconic mountain towns like Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen or Grandby (just to name a few), each offering unique experiences that embody the quintessential charm of Colorado’s mountain communities.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to former Mastermind Sisters who have walked with me on my entrepreneur journey with wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support. Like Mary Oliver’s poignant question, they have challenged me to reflect on the purpose and potential of my life. Their mentorship and camaraderie have enriched my understanding of authenticity, resilience, and the power of community. With deep gratitude, I honor each of them for shaping my aspirations and empowering me to embrace the wild and precious nature of life.
