We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Vargas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
Hey! I’m Lisa and I grew up here in Aurora, Colorado! My background included tons of mixed family weekends and loads of lessons. Growing up in the area i did, with the family i had, I couldn’t be more blessed to have it be the reason I am where I am today.
I feel like I’ve became such a strong, will-powered, independent woman thanks to my upbringing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Alot of my work is personal and very connecting to my clients. I don’t just do Hair, I share experiences, life advice, life changes, and stories for years with these guys. They’re my home away from home and they keep my love for doing what I do going!
I had to go back to school to be able to start my business and I couldn’t be more proud of myself! I’ve learned and continue to learn thousands of lessons a day and I wouldn’t change a single thing. If I wanted the world to know anything about me, it’s that even through all the trials, rocky roads I’ve been through, it made me the strong, independent woman i am today!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friend and I would go to the cutest little mountain towns, rock collect, hike and definitely shop!! We’d try to go to casa Bonita and seasons 52! Anything they want to do i would be up for!!!

I’m such a home body, so an excuse to leave the house is a good option for me!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh man, there’s so many! Firstly I want to shout out my daughter, Aurora. She’s the reason I went back to school to begin with to get licensed, and every reason I continue pushing my business every day.
I also want to shout out my family for always, always supporting me, through school, moving states, and starting a business, i couldn’t have a better support system. Speaking of schools, Z Hair Academy in Lee Summit, MO deserves a huge shout out as well! The entire teaching staff was amazing, helpful and extremely talented. I had fun learning what I wanted to do for a career there, and I’m trying to get a location opened here so other girls can experience it!!
There’s so many more I would shout out, but they know who they are and how loved and appreciated they are to me!
