We had the good fortune of connecting with Madalynn Glaze and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madalynn, what role has risk played in your life or career?
As an extrovert I have always been fond of the stage and the spotlight. Everytime I perform for any production in theatre I constantly strive to make bold choices which allows me to stand out. Risk taking is extremely courageous but extremely rewarding!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up I struggled to find a hobby I could commit to. There was a constant back and forth between what I believed I wanted to do and the reality of how I felt doing it. By 8th grade I had finally found theatre. Since then Theatre has been my entire life and given me a happiness I haven’t been able to match.

Theatre wasn’t completely clear waters either. There were times where I found myself questioning my purpose and how people would react to me telling them I wanted to be an actress in life.

I was able to overcome these harmful thoughts through the beauty of the art. I constantly find myself being guided back to the stage, my home. The place where I know that I can express myself without thinking of judgement.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had to bring one of my friends from my hometown in Michigan to Denver I would definitely have a few places in mind. To start, I’d take them for a little vintage shopping spree on Broadway then go over to the Denver Center of Performing Arts to see a musical or play and after we would of course have to go to the iconic Little Man ice cream!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Theatre company’s such as Northglenn Youth Arts, Roaming Gnome Theatre, Thespian Troupe 8710, and my acting acting coach Ina Marlowe have constantly guided and supported me throughout the auditioning and rehearsal process and for that I am incredibly thankful to them!
