We had the good fortune of connecting with Manasi Bhagwat and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Manasi, what do you attribute your success to?
Our success is deeply rooted in addressing real-life health challenges while adapting to a fast-paced modern lifestyle. We’ve integrated the timeless wisdom of traditional Ayurveda into everyday routines, offering products like soothing teas, healthy snacks, and versatile meal prep solutions. Our approach is customized to individual health goals, making Ayurvedic wellness both accessible and easy to incorporate into daily life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Shakti Natural Nutrition is a blend of ancient Ayurvedic traditions and contemporary lifestyles. My upbringing in a small Indian farming town instilled in me the principles of sustainable living, locally sourced nutrition, and holistic wellness. These early experiences, like enjoying freshly picked Amla and Ber (Indian Jujube), sipping on Tulsi kadha, and using Turmeric for minor wounds, shaped my perspective on holistic health.
Transitioning from a career in aerospace engineering, my enduring passion for holistic wellness inspired me to found Shakti Natural Nutrition in 2015. We stand out with our modern approach to Ayurveda, making it enjoyable and accessible. Our products, including snack bars, herbal teas, drink mixes, and meal preps, are natural, tasty, and minimally processed. We prioritize high-quality ingredients, sourced responsibly from farmers cooperatives in the US and India.
Our mission involves adapting Ayurvedic practices to modern needs and educating consumers about Ayurveda’s benefits. We advocate for fresh, home-cooked meals over frozen alternatives. Our meal preps, designed for easy preparation and eco-friendly packaging, align with busy yet environmentally conscious lifestyles.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start our day with a trip to the local farmers market, picking fresh vegetables from Corona and Rays Farms, and fruits from Nicolas Farms. After preparing a homemade, wholesome meal with these ingredients, later we’d enjoy nature at Aliso State Beach, Crystal Cove State Park, or a hike in Laguna Canyon to Barbara’s Lake. We’d end the day with a healthy bite at Vibe Organic Kitchen and Juice in Newport Beach.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are deeply grateful to the Ayurveda Gurus, Yogis, Ayurveda Sadhaks, ancient scriptures, and family traditions that have preserved and nurtured holistic wellness through the ages.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to our customers at the Orange County farmers market for their support on our journey of health, empathy, and compassion.
