We had the good fortune of connecting with Mansi Joshi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mansi, how do you think about risk?
My life is all about risk-taking, both personally and professionally. I moved from India to Canada and then from Canada to the USA, believing the USA would meet my needs. I made the move to the USA just one year before the COVID-19 crisis hit. Every time I take a risk, it feels like I may be in a Mercury retrograde, but having a positive outlook, a never-quit approach, and taking healthy and calculated risks keep me moving forward. As it says that, “You have to bloom where you are planted!”

To me, risk-taking means not feeling stuck and having the courage to pursue what I love. And that’s one of the reasons that I didn’t climb the corporate ladder; instead, I’ve ventured into various roles and have become an all-star rather than a rock star.

I’m still taking risks in my mid-life journey as I started this entrepreneurial corporate venture called TAH Digital Media & Consulting. It grew out of the COVID-19 crisis. While it hasn’t yielded enough revenue yet, I’m eager to see further risks and where it leads. Taking risks has enabled me to have a clear vision of my goals and how my actions can benefit others and those I do business with. – And at the same time, the importance of keeping a track record, measuring impact, and being prepared to pivot or change course to survive and endure.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
After spending 15 years as a digital and marketing expert in the corporate world, I decided to make my time available to create a professional travel blog and share my travel journey, inspire and empower others, and become an advocate for what I love and believe. This journey inspired me to start my own venture as a travel and hospitality consultant. I am dedicated to enhancing guest experiences for hotels and hospitality businesses by offering comprehensive solutions, support, and deep expertise. Additionally, I provide travel planning and itinerary services for discerning travelers. I am now committed to pursuing this path and am passionate about making a positive impact in the travel and hospitality space.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
NYC rooftop lounges are the best places to hang out, eat, drink, and indulge in sweeping views of the Big Apple. It’s hard to choose the greatest one, but three that I recently loved and visited are The Crown, The Water Tower Bar, and — Nubeluz, especially if you want a closer look at the Empire State Building. Another fun activity is to go for a musical Broadway show or stand-up comedy night in NYC.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family, including my parents and sister, who have been with me in every aspect of life. Additionally, I deeply appreciate the wonderful people I meet in my day-to-day interactions. Furthermore, I am indebted to the industry leaders who generously provide a wealth of resources and host community events, offering invaluable opportunities to learn and connect with others.
