Meet Megan Pitcher | Digital marketing consultant & Fractional CMO in Denver

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Pitcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, how does your business help the community?
Pitch Digital is a culmination of over a decade of experience in marketing aligning with my core values and personal interests. I intentionally started Pitch Digital as an opportunity to make an impact on my direct community in Colorado, and for those struggling with mental health and addiction issues across the US. I have the privilege of helping ethical, life-changing behavioral health organizations reach the clients that are in need of their care. I am proud to be able to utilize my skillset in digital marketing for good and have a small part in changing someone’s life, which directly impacts the community and the world.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a digital marketing consultant and fractional CMO with over a decade of experience in paid search (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO), conversion rate optimization (CRO) and data/analytics. All of those fancy acronyms simply mean that I help organizations audit their existing marketing channels and make recommendations on how to make changes to them to reach the right people. As a fractional CMO, I work part time with a handful of organizations that align with my core values: impact and connection. I have spent the past several years working with behavioral health organizations to improve their marketing campaigns, and have helped others in the healthcare industry reach the right clients.
I am most proud of my work in behavioral health and the connections that I have made. Outside of the quantitative wins, it feels good to be making an impact on the community by having a small part in helping people find much needed addiction and mental health treatment that can change their life forever. I feel as if Pitch Digital is a culmination of over a decade of experience in marketing aligning with my core values and personal interests.
This summer I also had the opportunity to work with an organization that helped me connect with my local community and love for the outdoors. I worked with a rafting company in Colorado as their fractional CMO and I am proud to share that we successfully doubled their revenue year over year by implementing several changes to their marketing strategy leading up to their busy season.
Entrepreneurship is not easy, and I couldn’t do it without the people I’ve met and the clients that have trusted me along the way. It’s fun, scary and rewarding all at once.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was spending a week in Colorado, I would go straight to the mountains. I always say I am a better person in the mountains or when I feel connected to nature. I (like so many Coloradans) love to hike and bike and really just do anything outside. I love the quick trip to Golden or Boulder. Lefthand Canyon and Lookout Mountain are my go-to’s for road biking. Hiking day trips almost anywhere in Nederland, Evergreen or Rocky Mountain National Park. Crested Butte and Steamboat Springs are my favorite long weekend getaways, but as long as there’s a view, I am happy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my dad, who has encouraged me from a young age to take risks, talk to everyone as if they were a close friend, and follow my heart. Some of my earliest memories are “working” with him at the office as a kid. As I got older, I was pushed out of my comfort zone and exposed to several different aspects of his business by canvasing, answering the phones and even learning how to balance the books.
I would also not be where I am today without the countless women who have supported, encouraged and mentored me along the way. Notably my friend Sheryl Haile, who encouraged me over a decade ago to do some soul searching, pivot into digital marketing, and eventually find a role that was more aligned with my core values. Most recently Gina Thorne of Thorne Consulting and Diana Sandoval of Tandem Wellness Center have helped me find my zone of genius within the behavioral health space. I also cherish and recommend books like Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In and Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead to any aspiring female leader. It takes a village and I am forever grateful for mine.
