We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Sitzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what inspires you?
My family! I have two beautiful children that inspire me to work my hardest and to keep going no matter the opstical that is placed in front of me. Their understanding of hard work and having a positive attitude keeps me striving for growth in my business. And they are only 5 and 7! They inspire me to grow my business with the simple basics of life that my husband and I have instilled in them. -Be thankful to God for every day, treat others how you would want to be treated, never give up, treat the world as your classroom and learn as much as you can, never let the outside noise bring you down, and most of all enjoy what you are doing! Simply be happy. I also want to be an inspiration to them. I want them to know that things are not always easy or fun. You have to work and keep your head up. There will always be mountains to climb but once you get to the top, it’s beautiful and rewarding!

Alongside my children whom inspire me everyday is my husband Michael. He is my true and constant inspiration to work hard and never give up. A man of few words but his actions and work ethic can be heard miles away. He has been blessed to work for a company (Scotts Automotive) that has helped him grow not only in the business but within himself. His excitement to share what he has learned from his trainings inspire me to grow my business and myself everyday. There is never a time to stop learning and growing. Michael’s constant love, support, and ability to always shoot me straight has inspired me in more ways than I could ever explain.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Country Glitz Boutique is currently an online boutique that offers insanely low prices on high quality boutique items. We believe that everyone should be able to feel and look beautiful in good quality clothing. We strive for in style and unique items that woman will love! We also travel to multiple Country Music Festivals to provide fun graphic saying tees and tanks for ticket buyers. Our top show being Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO. We do inhouse custom designs for our clothing to insure quality and style. Along with your favorite brands and boutique items that are always a fan favorite.
Country Glitz Boutique originally started in November 2014, right after the birth of my first child, Mckenna Jean. My husband was working full time, which left me with a lot of spare time and a very sleepy baby. Since then, Country Glitz Boutique has grown exponentially but it was not easy. My online account was hacked not once but twice which left me wanting to quit and close up shop. I also struggled with the balance of growing a business and raising my children. But ultimately my children and husband are the reason why my business has grown to be where it is today. They inspired my to not quit and to keep going.

The key for me and the reason for success with Country Glitz Boutique is there will always be people out there wanting to bring you down but if you humbly know your worth and always treat people with kindness and fairness you will succeed. I know I will mess up and mistakes will be made but how you fix them is what’s most important.

Today and forever I will continue to strive for growth! My goals for the business are to simply be happy, provide for my family and offer fashionable, yet VERY affordable clothing to woman of all shapes and sizes! I know the value of great customer service and that is my top priority while running Country Glitz Boutique. I love my job and the customers that have become my friends. I constantly strive to be better than I was the day before. To work harder, pray more and stay happy.

I am constantly brainstorming on ways to improve Country Glitz Boutique and I love to get feedback from my customers! They are the reason I love my job so I ask them to contact me with anything! I want to hear what they have to say! Whether they shop online or stop by my one of my booths, I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart! Their support means more than words can say!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would want to take them somewhere new-even new for me. Experiencing new things is part of the fun you have with someone. I’d first make sure to get all dolled up (because this mama is always in yoga pants, so a chance to dress up is exciting!)
Then Id go to some kind of new festival and do some shopping. Kids can play on the rides and do some games. Followed by a little road trip a new town preferably in the mountains so see some beautiful views and go to a hole in the wall restaurant to try some new grub.
Watching my Broncos play on TV with a group of friends and my husband is always a plus.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Aside from my children and husband whom I spoke of previously is my mother Cheryl who once had a screen printing business. She truly taught me so much about running a business and how much work it really takes. My dad Greg has always been the one to bring a smile to everything I do. Always making jokes and giving me a hard time (in a good way) 🙂
