We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Devitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Melissa, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work life balance is something we constantly talk about, not just as business owners (between my husband and I) but with our entire staff. The conversation is never off the table, we are always wanting the best for everyone who has chosen to spend their time working in our company, and this is an ever changing thing person to person. Creating an atmosphere that is positive and uplifting has always been key for us when we go into work everyday, and we strive to ensure our employees feel that. To us, working somewhere you are happy automatically feels like an accomplished work life balance.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We believe in food that feeds the soul. At Mr. Miner’s Meat & Cheese we want you to be happy with beautifully cured meats & fine cheeses – thoughtfully chosen; sourced local as well as international to create boards and sandwiches crafted to perfection. We value creating good food, good vibes and sharing in the groove. Getting to where we are today; all events in life are filled with challenges, highs and lows, but when you have a devotion to a dream you can tackle anything.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Concerts, Concerts, Concerts! In the world we all dream will come back to us soon, this is how we spend our time. Throw your nice shades on, and head to Dicks or Red Rocks. Nothing says a good time in Denver like soaking up some sun and dancing with the crew!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The question is who else deserves a “little” credit in this story? The answer to that is who else deserves “a lot” of credit in this story. Kevin! Crushing it everyday!
