We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Noone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mike, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My first job at 12 years old was in a small moto shop in Gunnison, CO. From my first day working there I always wanted to own my own shop and my time there would end up being a big motivating factor when envisioning my future. After several different jobs in the industry, I was working at a big dealership and saw a number of people wanting to customize their machines, but there wasn’t anyone offering that service at the time. When I left the dealership to start my business, my goal was to capture those people wanting to do custom and performance builds, find inspiration and make some really cool cars.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of the things that sets Motorsport Masters apart from our competition would be our stellar reputation. We strive to deliver the best possible product without needlessly spending our customers money, while simultaneously offering true custom solutions. While it would be easy to bolt the same parts on all of the cars we work on, we choose to take on the challenge of building a custom machine that is exactly what the customer wants and reflects their personality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos games are always great destinations for out of town guests. Combine that with a Lime scooter ride to some taco trucks on Federal and top it off with a beer at Little Machine Brewing would make for a good day. Otherwise, we would be in the mountains riding dirt bikes and grabbing a burger at the Sprucewood Inn. Follow that up with a day of fly fishing on Colorado’s Gold Medal streams and a night camping underneath the stars. To wrap up a week long adventure, grabbing dinner in one of the amazing Old Towne Arvada restaurants would fit the bill nicely.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people, books and experiences I owe a ton of recognition to, but most importantly is my wife. She believed in me and supported me breaking away from the steady income to pursue my life long goal of owning my own business even with two young children in the mix. There were many nights that she carried the weight at home while I was building the business. I would not be where I am today without her.
