Meet Nicola Cole

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Nicola Cole again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Nicola, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
I am the owner and artist behind Nicola Jane Photography. I specialize in maternity and posed newborn photography and have a studio in Parker. Originally I come from England, but I have been a Parker resident for 16 years! My first career was as an elementary school teacher, but after having my own children I developed a passion for photography. I tried every field of photography; weddings, events, wildlife, you name it, but I fell in love with newborn photography and the magic of mom’s-to-be!
I have been in business for over 10 years and have a great deal of knowledge of how to safely pose newborns to capture their tiny first portraits that their families can treasure forever. I have also mastered the art of newborn composite images so I am able to create artwork from their session that is not possible in real life! For examples, take a look around my website: https://www.nicolajanephotography.com/composites

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Two years ago, I relocated to an in-home studio which I absolutely LOVE. My returning clients much prefer the cozy home studio as opposed to the business suite as it is so much more personal and less stressful. When my clients come into my home, they are whisked away to a quiet waiting room with everything they could want (including a pillow and blanket if they want a nap!). From there, I have a studio space dedicated to providing my clients with their vision for their portraits, whether it’s a maternity closet, newborn props, a cake smash or anything in-between! I am a full service, luxury experience.

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want people to remember how I made them feel! I pride myself in taking care of my clients and making sure their experience with me is personal and exceptional. Being pregnant and having a baby is HARD and I want my clients to feel heard and validated. If I can help them in any way, even if it’s only changing a diaper, I want to take the burden off just a tiny bit and make them feel like they’re not alone!
