Meet Nicole Fiscella | Lifestyle and Wellness Blogger, Model & Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Fiscella and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Having a very strong work ethic has really helped me succeed. I am constantly pushing harder and going the distance. I usually don’t take no for an answer. There is always a way to make something work, you just have to be willing to find it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My “art” has literally taken twists and turns and I have really enjoyed it’s path. After college, I reached my dream of becoming a model in NYC at a top agency. Being on the shorter side and a person of color (which at that time was not working in my favor!), it took more finessing, but I made it happen. I have heard a lot of “no’s” in my life, (definitely more than yes!) but you have to take that and keep pushing forward…. you can’t take it to heart or let it get in your head. I’ve learned that rejection is part of the process and for me, it fuels the fire. When your passion is there, it will come.
With that, I segued into acting and landed a role on the original Gossip Girl. That was so fun and exposed me to what I am really here to do… be ME on TV. I am in the process of developing my own television show geared towards women my age in which I expose them to new things that can help them lead their best life so stay tuned!!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to show people new places. As Colorado is relatively new to me, I would be doing some exploring as well! Being outdoors is a big part of the Colorado lifestyle, and one of the major reasons we moved here. We live in Boulder and I love the mountains here. We would start by hiking Mount Sanitas and taking in the views there. I would also show them Chatauqua and the Flatirons and do some trails around there as well and then do lunch on Pearl Street.
You can’t come to Colorado without heading to the mountains, so we would head up (I love that drive and the views!) and do the Beaver Creek area. Eating at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is a must. I would also be sure to take them to Denver to eat at “Tacos, Tequila, Whiskey”, which so far, is my favorite restaurant in Denver (I mean, who doesn’t love a taco!). We would peruse the Cherry Creek area and hit up some hotel bars and boutiques. At some point we would head to Colorado Springs and check out Garden of the Gods which has such an energy about it. I’ve also been dying to check out the hot springs there so we would explore that together.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my family. My parents, brother, husband, and even my young children. They all believe in me, support me, and act as my “checks and balances” everyday. All of them support me when I need it, praise me when I deserve it, and call me out when I am wrong or need a reality check!
