We had the good fortune of connecting with Onyx The Warrior and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Onyx, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always had trouble expressing myself growing up. When I starting making music it gave me that outlet I needed to help get myself on track

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been making music since 2016. When I first started it was so hard to get people to listen to my music and take me seriously. So I decided to start going out to open mic nights in my area and showing everyone what I can do. Eventually those open mic nights turned introduced me to several promoters and I started doing concerts every week around the Los Angeles area. In 2019 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona and met up with the guys at Respect The Underground. From there I started doing radio interviews and festivals for them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Off tops I would take them to Meow Wulf in Denver. That place is a crazy good time. Then we would have to hit Fort Collins, i love that town. We would go and eat at stuft burger then hit old town Square. I love all the bars out there but my number one is definitely Bondi Beach Bar
