Meet Paige Berry | Acupuncturist and owner of Cosmic Collective

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Berry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was actually in Pharmacy school and working in the hospitals when I realized there was an intense need for preventative medicine. The United States tends to focus on a problem after it has become a problem, and not so much on maintaining optimal health and wellness. I decided to switch to integrative and holistic medicine to become an acupuncturist. After that, I wanted to create an integrative medicine clinic that would basically serve as your routine healthcare between your yearly physicals. Most traditional doctor offices focus on keeping you from dying, which is obviously necessary and fantastic! But our approach is a bit different. Most people are tired of feeling awful or just not as good as they could be, even though they’re told everything is normal. It is a place to optimize your health- whether you come weekly or monthly for acupuncture, hormone testing, personal training, physical therapy, mental health therapy, or chiropractic medicine. Basically, the idea was to give a place for the medicine that comes before a hospital visit.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am most excited about the official opening of Cosmic Health Collective! Purchasing the space has brought so many opportunities for growth and the design of a truly unique and healing space.
It wasn’t necessarily easy to get to where I am today. It was very slow and steady growth, a lot of groundwork and putting myself out there as much as possible. A lot of trusting that I was on the right path and if I tried hard enough I could make it work. I overcame the challenges with the support of my loved ones and a lot of rest and acupuncture! I learned a lot of lessons along the way. Most importantly to always put your health and well-being first, no matter what. If you feel good and come from a good place, you can do just about anything. My story is a lot of finding myself and growing through trial and error. I tend to have the philosophy of “just try it and see how it goes” which definitely has its downfalls but allows me to always be growing and finding what works the best. I think the saying “the only true failure is not trying” is something I try to live by.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love the LoHi area, and not just because my business is there. I think some of the best hidden (and not so hidden) gems are in the Lower Highlands. My favorite restaurant that I basically force all my friends to go to is Linger, it was also the first dinner I had when I moved to Denver. Speaking of moving to Denver, I first lived on Tennyson street. While that area is a LOT different from when I lived there, the walkability and fun shops and eateries on that street are also phenomenal. I also love to hike and personally live in Golden, so I would also recommend Golden Gate Canyon State Park!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to shoutout my mom, Celina Renee, because I would never have gotten so far without her support. Whether it be encouragement, advice, lending a hand, or just being the boss business lady to look up to. My mom is definitely one of a kind and the best support system and role model I could ask for.
