We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

We wanted to move to the US, therefore we decided to start our own business in the US. This was a requirement to obtain and investor’s visa, which we obtained and moved.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

We personally execute the business from A to Z for the time being. Our product is extremely good, most patrons love our nuts. There have been customers congratulating us for the special and delicious taste, others have thanked us, others have encouraged us to keep the good work. We are very professional from how our set up looks like, our uniforms, the way we treat our customers and smile to them, the service we give to each person approaching our booth and business. We are reliable, punctual and efficient. We started our business in January 2020 and after a couple of months the pandemic hit. Therefore our first year was very slow, but gave us the opportunity to settle and to learn the business with ease. This business requires a lot of physical work. The business has not been especially difficult, but I cannot say that it has been easy either. It requires a continuous work and to pay attention to all details and to overcome every challenge. One overcomes these challenges by facing them and finding a solution to them. Again, all the institutions and people around us have helped us overcome the challenges. We have found amazing people who have become our friends who have helped us throughout the process, giving us business, connecting us to other possible customers and supporting us all the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I would take them to the Denver art Museum, Cheeseman Park, Denver Botanic Garden, Lookout Mountain, Red Rocks theater, Kona Grill for lunch, Briar Common Brewery, Estes Park and surrounding area, Breckenridge and surrounding area, Georgetown Historic Town, Sloans Lake Park, City Park and the Zoo, the Civic Park, Downtown Denver.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I can say that all the governmental institutions in Colorado, the event organizers, the other vendors in the events and venues and also our suppliers have helped us and encouraged us to start and operate our business successfully. All of them definitely deserve credit and recognition in our story.
