We had the good fortune of connecting with Quinha McBride and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quinha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In 2017 my mother passed away from cancer and just 9 years prior to that my father died from a drug overdose. These were pivotal moments in my life. Having grown a love for fitness myself I knew as soon as my mom was gone that I had to impact people in a healthy and positive way. My life completely changed forever and it became my mission to execute a plan to start my own business in the fitness industry to change the lives of others by creating a safe community around health and exercise. That’s how Studio Q Fitness was born. In 2019 I opened my doors with 10 coaches and 1 small cycling studio, 6 months later COVID hit but it wasn’t going to stop me. The studio was thriving and peoples lives were changing – it was working. I partnered up with Colorado Nutrition and we created a transformation program using movement, nutrition and accountability coaching to change lives one by one. We have had dozens of people go through the program, I have doubled the size of the studio and expanded to bring in bootcamp classes and private training. We now have 15 coaches and our membership grows weekly. The inspiration came out of terrible tragedy but now many lives are being impacted and forever changed for the better. We have worked with cancer patients, people with diabetes, recovering from injury and severe depression. The community I have built at Studio Q is like non other. It’s a safe, healthy, inspirational place where people can come to learn how to live healthy and thrive. It might look like just a fitness class but it’s SO much more. We transform lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend lives next door to me! Here’s a typical week for us.
Road bike up Rist Canyon – stop at Howling Cow Cafe for snacks and ride home
Run somewhere fun like the Bacon Strip or Arapaho Bend w/ Run Club at Studio Q Fitness
Happy Hour at the Rio or DC Oaks
Bootcamp w/ Coach Alex at Studio Q Fitness on Thursdays (never miss a Thursday)
Take the boat up to Horsetooth Reservoir to cruise around, chill out out and paddle board
Hike up Towers Trail or to Horsetooth Rock with the Studio Q Hiking series
Take the kids to one of the amazing pools in town like Harmony Club
Family outings to Josh and Johns Ice cream
Play over at Twin Silos Park
Mountain Bike with my son at Lory State Park

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate a shoutout to my team of amazing coaches at Studio Q Fitness. Everyday the show up, inspire, push our members to believe in themselves and care so deeply for our community. These people do this because they are passionate and the most talented team in Northern Colorado. They don’t do it for fame, they do it because they care and they want to impact lives. So proud of my team and everything they do at Studio Q to make it the best place ever to workout.
