We had the good fortune of connecting with Ranier Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ranier, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
This company is inspired by psilocybin. In fact, PSILLY was created while 2 of the co-founders were having a mushroom experience. At the time, they did not know what they wanted to do, but they knew they wanted to help build and create something beautiful for the community. We’re here to spread love, happiness and growth.

The PSILLY team is here to help you in whatever direction you may want to go. Interested in learning more about microdosing? Check out our blogs and soon enough, our “Trips n Trix” series.

From assisting the community, to picking up trash along the rivers, and hosting showcases to help promote local artists and creators, the PSILLY team wants to serve as a stepping stone for creators. To help create experiences where people connect through their love of music, arts and philanthropy. When wearing PSILLY or going to an event, you are supporting a movement to present a positive outlook on life in a way that other brands cannot. So let’s spread those PSILLY vibes, respectfully.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always wanted to create my own business, as that seemed the best route to go to be financially stable. While growing up, my family wasn’t the most financially stable, so that has always been my plan. To give them something back for helping provide as much as they can at the time. They are always on top of mind, when going into ventures as this.

There’s been a few projects within the last 5 years that I have dabbled in and failed. But that’s the thing about business, the first one or 10 may not be successful. If you keep going, and trying (fail but don’t quit), you will eventually land something. It’s crazy because it did take a while to learn the little things, from content creation to building a website and now it feels so easily to do. It makes it fun when you are motivated to learn.

Through PSILLY, we want to show our community that anything is possible. You want to build beautiful art, let’s put it on a showcase. Having trouble with mental health, let’s talk and see how we can grow to get better. You want to learn how to do x, y, z? Let’s learn it and see what we can do together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First off, shoutout to the other co-founders Zach Jacobs, Robert Keenan, & Phil Hegarty. We have been building PSILLY with a bunch of close friends from Denver to Atlanta through gathering product and content feedback, helping set up events such as Weed n Cheese, and others that we just cannot thank enough for all the help. Without the support and guidance from family and friends, PSILLY would have never been created.

We’re doing this for them and our community, we want to create a positive impact through our company.
