We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Fulenwider and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My husband has always been the entrepreneur of the family. He has looked into businesses ever since we started dating and throughout our marriage. Our journey to DRIPBaR actually occurred when my sister was diagnosed with Stage IV, Grade IV Glioblastoma – aggressive brain cancer. It was 2 days since her first MRI before she was in surgery. A few days later, I went to assist her in recovery and helped her out for 2 weeks. When I got home my husband said “first – how is your sister doing? Second – I found a franchise opportunity that could help save her life.” From that moment on we started the journey of owning The DRIPBaR franchise. Our goal is to help support people to be abel to live their best and healthiest life.
My person journey was a lot of “what am I doing” mixed with “challenge accepted.” There were days I felt over my head, but I continued to take things 1 hour at a time sometimes and am so proud of everyone invoved as we have all grown through this process.
What should our readers know about your business?
You have approximately 40 Trillion cells in your body – your job is simple; make sure these cells have what they need. Vitamin insufficieny can lead to an array of sypmtoms that can compromise quality of life. Simply put, there is no better way to deliver vitamins directly to your cells than through direct infusion. The DRIPBaR is backed by published scientific and medical articles and has a dedicated research and development team. We pride ourselves in being a 797 compliant IV therapy spa. This 797 compliance sets us apart from other IV services because we mix our IV Bags in a sterile hood (like a mini clean room) to reduce the amount of potential contaminants.
Our staff is the most amazing and friendly group of people I have ever encountered in my life who enjoy learning more about health and lifestyle support themselves. Not only do we have trained, experienced nurses, but we have a medical director who oversees our patrons health as well.
I thought below was a seperate question. Something along the lines of what have we learned as a franchise…
Getting here was not easy. My husband has always been the entrepreneur, but the first business we started was him supporting me selling make-up. Now, I realize you don’t know me, but I’ve worn make-up maybe 20 times in my whole life. That experience taught me to be open to new things, but also hire someone who knows the product that can help you learn and grow in areas you’re unfamiliar.
We have also owned, remodeled, and built some real estate and really learned through these processes how to communicate and utilize each other for our strengths. I think as a young couple, we struggled with “doing it my way” even if we didn’ know what that way was yet but through our journies, we really grew into feeding off each others strengths, connecting with those who are the experts and recognizing that it’s never a 50/50 split, but it ends up evening out.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would 100% take my friend in for a Drip to show all the amazing things that we have going on, but after we have all our energy and are fueled for he week, we would go hiking at Coyote Ridge, Grab a bite at Rally 5, then go to a local escape room – there are so many to choose from that I love – but Clueology is one of my favorites. Since we love the outdoors, we would spend some time paddle boarding at Windsor lake and probably enjoy Sweetsville Zoo while it will stands.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A huge shoutout to Joshua Fulenwider, my husband and my lifetime partner in crime, my sweet baby girl, Ashla, who motivates me in all that I do to become a better person, and my best friends and sister who is the most amazing person I know. I could not have done anything without these people in my life – and so many more.
