Meet Regina Kurtz | Licensed Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Regina Kurtz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Regina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind creating my studio was deeply rooted in my passion for helping women feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. I’ve always believed that beauty is about more than appearance—it’s about empowerment, self-expression, and feeling good from the inside out. I wanted to create a space where women could come to relax, rejuvenate, and leave feeling like the best version of themselves.
When I started my business in 2018, I saw an opportunity to provide personalized, high-quality services that cater to each client’s unique needs. I wanted to move away from the one-size-fits-all approach and focus on building genuine connections with my clients. Every service I offer, from microblading to microdermabrasion, is designed to enhance natural beauty in a way that feels authentic and uplifting.
I also wanted to build a brand that reflects my values—integrity, respect, and passion—and create an environment where clients feel cared for and valued. At the end of the day, seeing my clients leave with a smile and a renewed sense of confidence is what drives me and makes this journey so rewarding.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work is all about helping women feel confident, empowered, and beautiful in their own skin. What sets my studio apart is the personalized experience I offer. From natural lash and brow enhancements to advanced skincare treatments, every service is tailored to meet my clients’ unique needs and goals. I believe beauty should feel authentic and attainable, which is why I focus on enhancing natural features in a way that feels effortless and genuine.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust and connection I’ve built with my clients. Many of them come to me through word of mouth, which means so much because it shows that my work resonates with people. I’m also incredibly excited about continuing to grow my business and reach more women who are looking for a space where they can feel supported and celebrated.
Getting to where I am today professionally hasn’t been easy. Starting a business as a solo entrepreneur comes with its challenges, from learning how to attract new clients to balancing work and family life. There were moments of doubt, but I overcame those by staying focused on my passion and reminding myself why I started this journey. I leaned on my values to guide me through the tough times, and I’ve learned that consistency and authenticity are key to building something meaningful.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of showing up for yourself and your dreams, even when it feels hard. I want the world to know that it isn’t just about beauty treatments—it’s about creating a space where women can feel seen, valued, and confident. My story is one of resilience, passion, and a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. That’s what my brand is all about.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want to show them the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and fun. We’d start the trip with a pampering session at my studio, The Glow Up Beauty Studio, so they’re feeling refreshed and radiant right away. Then, we’d grab brunch at Snooze or coffee at Subjective Coffee—both are local favorites of mine.
I would definitely take them to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a concert. There’s truly nothing like watching a show surrounded by the beauty of Colorado. Another day, we’d take a day trip to the hot springs—it’s so relaxing and not too far from the city. For dinner, I’d take them to one of my favorite spots like Uchi, Elway’s, or Guard and Grace—because good food is non-negotiable.
We’d also probable go thifting and enjoy some outdoor adventures like hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. A stop in Estes Park for its charm and small-town vibes would round out the trip. Locally, we’d visit the Butterfly Pavilion and maybe grab drinks at Westminster Brewing Co. To wrap it all up, we’d have a sunset dinner at El Five with its stunning views of Denver. It’s all about creating great memories.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest inspiration comes from the two most influential women in my life—my mom and my grandmother. They were trailblazers in their own right, with courage and determination, they were able to build a life from the ground up. Their strength, resilience, and ability to navigate challenges with grace have always been a guiding light for me.
They taught me the value of hard work and the importance of staying true to yourself, no matter the obstacles. Watching them create opportunities where none existed inspired me to build something of my own.
