We had the good fortune of connecting with Saige and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saige, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I always knew I wanted a career that would blur the lines between “work” and play. For me a huge motivation to begin my own business came from the frustrations of an imbalanced schedule after my first child was born. I was staying at home with my daughter while my partner worked long hours – something that I thought I wanted. While I was grateful to have the opportunity to connect with my baby and integrate the changes of becoming a mother – I was also depleted physically and emotionally. I felt deep in my bones there was another way to exist, with living and BEing as the priority and work being an extension of play. I created a business from my frustration of the classic modern nuclear household structure – taking everything that had previously limited me and creating a lucrative and nourishing business that facilitates healing and transformation for others – a business I can run from anywhere in the world. I now work parttime and feel that the future of business is heading towards sustainable balance -both for the earth and also for the human heart and psyche.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For many years I didn’t know how to weave together my spiritual gifts with my art. After my family purchased our first home, (a little 60’s a-frame near the sea on the Olympic Peninsula) I found myself inspired by the architecture and interior design, not so much for vanity’s sake but for therapuetic and healing abilites. I’m a highly sensitive person and I find my state of being shifts drastically when I’m in intentional, thoughtfully designed spaces. My husband and I began renovating the house and designed and built much of our own furniture using local, natural materials. I felt so inspired in the space and began waking up to my mystic gifts – I opened my healing private practice and as it began to grow, I extended my offerings to include retreats and workshops right out of my home. I loved witnessing people’s body chemistry shift and become instantly relaxed and inspired just from entering the spaces I curated with such intention. We now rent that particular space out as a healing and transformational temple and living over on the Island of Hawai’i most of the year. We’re on 10 acres of land here where we’re following the same model of transforming old structures into sacred healing and inspirational spaces. My vision is to continue creating these sacred spaces around the world where people can live close to the earth, feel inspired and remember how powerful they are and what’s actually important in their life. As my online institute continues it’s growth, I’ll be hosting in person events and workshops on sacred lands in the future. I realized with my career that I didn’t just want success – I wanted to create a legacy. I didn’t want a brand, I wanted an extension of my soul essence. With so much destruction on this planet, I wanted every reverberation from my business endeavors to be regenerative and uplifting even after I’m gone. Entrepreneurship takes a lot of courage and resilience. If ever challenges arose on my path (it’s a guarantee they will!) I would remember my mission and purpose and get back up and take that next step.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many incredible mentors over the years. I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to an indigenous Shaman in the rainforest of Peru named Don Ignacio. I was living in New York in a fast paced hustle culture world and after a plant medicine ceremony on a trip in my early 20’s, my life would never be the same. I came home, packed up my stuff, left the big city and never looked back. Also, shout out to every single person on the planet doing the deep work of looking inward to heal themselves AND envision a more humane and liberated existence for all. I believe we are all each other’s greatest mirrors and for me, seeing powerful entrepreneurs living full expression lives without apology has supported me in remembering my own power and gifts.
