We had the good fortune of connecting with Samuel Gilchrist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samuel, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I cant say that I “came up with” the idea. However, as a Pastor I believe I was called to start a church that is not like the conventional churches around the country in the sense that we are not focused on “numbers” that is to say how many people that show up each week, but we are more focused on helping people develop a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus wants His church to be more like a family and less like a social club. I believe that we are aiming to hit that mark by the grace of God.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I can say what sets this church apart from some other churches out there is that we believe the WHOLE Bible. We believe in the miraculous healing power of Jesus Christ and that it is alive and well today. We have seen many people healed by the power of God. We do not shy away from any challenge that comes our way because we know and believe that we HAVE the victory in Jesus Christ

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would have to go by this little taco truck on Hampden (by the Scandinavian Designs) they have the best Quesa Birria tacos. Additionally we would go hiking in Golden Gate Canyon State park. I would take them out to Idaho Springs for some Pick Axe pizza and to some great hiking spots around there. We would definitely try to make it down to the Manitou Incline before hitting Rudy’s BBQ on the way back.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I would not be here today without Him. He was God’s Word made flesh, He died for all of our sins, rose from the dead after three days and gave us THE WAY to restore our relationship with our Creator, that is the one true living God. He is The Way, The Truth, and The Life
