We had the good fortune of connecting with Selina Delangre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Selina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The Celtic Sea Salt brand was built through relationships. Everyone has an audience rather 5 people or 50,000 people, and if you build relationships with people that truly care about what they are sharing with others because they trust the brand. Selina Naturally the home of Celtic Sea Salt, has been around for over 40 years, and in those 40 years, we have become one of the most recognized brands of sea salt in the world. The value of great relationships with people that have a mission to share solutions for health concerns.
The loyalty and contribution of my staff are other factors that have gotten the company where it is today.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others, is my attention to others needs and how I can collaborate to help fill those needs. I am most proud of my book I wrote “In Her Element” I was able to share the stories of the company and my personal life. This was a very humbling and exciting accomplishment. It was not easy to get where we are today, but it was divinely supported by so many that played a role in the expansion of the company and my life. Without the support of others, my life would not be where it is today. The way I overcame the challenges was through prayer and meditation. I can’t say it was a person or a book, but at the end of the day surrendering that it’s all going to be ok, and praying with intention and gratitude is the real power.
The lessons I have learned along the way are the power of surrender, and being at peace to receive the blessings, because if you are not at peace or in a place of letting go, you will not see the hidden blessings.
I have also learned to get as much data and facts around a decision as possible to make calculated decisions. This practice decreases the stress around issues, this helps to create the story you want vs. the story that is happening.
I want the world to know my intention has always been on ways I can improve others while I am in my growth, whether this is spiritually, emotionally, financially, or with whatever resource I have.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I would take them to the Biltmore Estate. I would take them to walk around downtown Asheville. I would take them to eat at the restaurants that carry our Celtic Sea Salt, such as Nine Mile, Laughing Seed, Green Sage, Tupelo Honey, Strada’s, PLANT, etc.

I would take them on hikes in the Blue Ridge mountains.

I would take them to the river arts district to see all the local artists.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many people that have helped me throughout the years. If I could mention them all I would. These professionals have shared the Celtic Sea Salt brand with all of their audience. Just a few of the people are Donna Gates with Body Ecology, Jordan Rubin, Dr. Christian Northrup, Dr. Robert DeMaria , Tess Masters, Rena Greenberg, John Salley, Paul Pluta.
