We had the good fortune of connecting with Shane Kazimier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shane, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
That Realtors and real estate agents get paid way to much. However, most individuals don’t understand that we supply all the marketing materials for a listing, photos, video, and any ads we place. Not only that but we are not paid for our time unless we get the transaction across the finish line. This can be a challenge for a new agent as a commission check is never guaranteed. Transactions have numerous ways of blowing up and only 1/5 of the transaction the agent actually has control over. The other parts are done by inspectors, appraisers, title work, and lender or loan originator.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a very energetic outgoing person who works on his communication skills day in and day out with cold calls, follow up calls, meeting people in person, and networking meetings. Not only do my communication skills exceed most peoples expectations, but my negotiating skills are always evolving and becoming better. I constantly work on these skills by reading books to better my communication and negotiating in highly stressful situations.

Getting to where I am currently has not been a small feat. I have worked my ass off from starting full time to Covid hitting and needing to get a part time job to survive. I worked that for a year and half and was ready to make the leap to full time real estate. This was by far one of the hardest decisions I have made to date. I just woke up everyday and ran straight forward into my challenges and daily tasks. Working harder than other agents is my special sauce and I can back that up with proof.

Buying a home or selling one is not as simple as the world thinks. Dealing with emotions with a seller getting rid of their home they were in for more than 20 years is tough. Also dealing with multiple decision makers can be extremely challenging during a real estate transaction.

I want my brand to stand for everything I do and uphold in my career. Honesty, integrity, dedication, hard work, and trust! These are my pillars of success and I want everyone to know that when you work with me these will be my rock to fall back on. Not only that but I am here to help as many people as possible find a true place to call home. This is my real WHY.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them instantly to a few of my favorite hidden gem hikes and brewery’s. There are countless of these in Colorado but not everyone is created equal. As far as hikes go Brainard lake area is one of my favorite of all time. For a brewery I would highly recommend Weld Work’s in Greeley, Colorado as they have some of the best craft beers I have ever tasted.

Food is endless out here and we would be hitting some of the best of the best. Flower Child in Boulder is one of my go to fast casual foods.

Hickory and Ash in Broomfield is a steakhouse where they dry age their steaks to perfection.

Blue sushi has an amazing lineup of special house sushi rolls, hard to find exotic fish, and great signature drinks.

As far as going out on the town at night I love going to live music! One of the obvious places everyone needs to visit here in CO is Red Rocks! Another venue I extremely love is called Mission Ball Room here in Denver.

Frisbee golf is another extremely fun, easy to learn game, and we have some really incredible courses out here. Valmont in Boulder, Johnny Roberts in Arvada, Erie 18 hole course, and many many more up in the mountains like Ghost town. Ghost town is an abandoned mining town that they made a frisbee golf course around!

Last but not least I would invite them into a great fun chill night with my core ground of friends. We are all young aspiring professionals in the Denver network and all love to have a good time. From spikeball at Confluence park to having a chill relaxing night of board games at our friends house in the Highlands.
