Meet SHELL HALL | CEO/AUTHOR/OWNER

We had the good fortune of connecting with SHELL HALL and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SHELL, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
An important lesson I’ve learned from running my business is not to assume, especially when it comes to customers and their loyalty. It’s so easy to assume that if you’ve built a good relationship, delivered consistent quality, or gone above and beyond, a customer will stick with you. But I’ve learned the hard way that some customers are primarily motivated by price. Even if you’ve worked hard to meet deadlines, solve problems, or offer personal attention, they may still jump ship the moment they find a better price somewhere else. Regardless of the value you offer.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m Shell Hall the owner of Cherry Creek Stone Works, located in Englewood, CO. What makes me most proud of my business is that we never cut corners and are always transparent with our customers. We’ve built a reputation on doing things right, even when it’s harder or takes longer. Word of mouth is our best marketing tool, and it costs us nothing, except building lifetime relationships with our customers. We take pride in the quality of our work and in meeting our customers’ needs. They are the true foundation of everything we do. It’s not about us, but about exceeding our customers’ expectations!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to town, I’d make it the most unforgettable time ever. I love to create moments that are remembered for a lifetime by living life to its fullest. I love nature and would start with a morning hike in the Colorado mountains, where you can experience the peace and serenity of the sound of birds chirping, waterfalls echoing through the canyons, and the natural beauty God has created to quiet our minds and lift our spirits, reminding us how truly blessed we are. Followed by a spa treatment to spoil ourselves with luxury and relaxation. Onto a women’s retreat to be inspired by stories of courage, burnout, and resilience, As the sun sets and air cool there’s no better way to end the night with a concert or live music under the stars – feeling the beat in our soul while dancing the night away, music reminds us that we’re alive!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to Margarita Gonzalez for being an inspiring colleague and for this referral. Scott DiGesualdo, for selling me Cherry Creek Stone Works, and believing in me to continue his legacy for many years to come! Lastly, Heather Radliff, for being an inspirational designer who has won “Designer of the Year” multiple times. She inspired me to write my book. Realities of Entrepreneurs: Drop the Facade!
