We had the good fortune of connecting with Soul Penny Circus and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Soul Penny Circus, how do you think about risk?
Whenever you start something new, there is always a healthy degree of risk involved. The best case scenario is when the potential reward outweighs the risk. It’s important to be equally calculated and ambitious to make any new project successful!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Soul Penny Circus was formed with the idea that any one person can come together with a group and create something magical. Soul Penny Circus has produced four original shows within its short life span and is fiercely dedicated to community engagement. We are especially proud of the quality of our performers, not just in talent, but in character and willingness to collaborate.
Although it has only been an industry player for two years, Soul Penny Circus has worked to ensure that its original productions foster inclusivity, and implemented a donation-based ticketing system that allows people from all socioeconomic backgrounds access to the arts. Along with its productions, Soul Penny Circus offers workshops and classes in schools across Colorado, to empower students and increase awareness for the versatility of the arts.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are so thankful for the global Fringe community, particularly Denver Fringe Festival. It is how we got our start, and continues to be a motivator and catalyst in our success. Our mission is parallel to the fringe mentality, everyone has something special to share, and there is room for everyone in the arts community.
