Meet Tanya Pratkelis | Craniosacral therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanya Pratkelis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanya, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I feel like there were 2 important factors: passion and compassion. The passion I have for the work I do has always allowed me to be completely successful within my business. Passion moved me forward during the more difficult times, it always kept me learning and growing within my business and it always kept me absolutely loving what I do. I believe that if you do what you truly love you will be successful.
Compassion is super important in my line of work. Having it and being able to meet people at where they are with compassion and non judgement has truly helped keep my business growing. I have truly enjoyed working with every person over the years and each one has been a teacher to me in some way as well.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What excites me the most about my work is being able to see the growth and healing of my clients. Over the years I have seen some amazing things and have some great stories and experiences from it all!
Was it easy to get to where I am today? Yes and no. I think when you love what you do you are willing to work much harder to get what you need from it and because you love it, then it does feel easy.
I have learned so many lessons along the way. The two biggest are probably gratitude and patience.
I have been working in the healing arts for more than 30 years. I have lived it my whole life. I have worked with so many great people learning everything I can to strengthen and grow my practice. Craniosacral therapy can sometimes feel daunting to some but if you are a person that is truly ready to heal from the inside out, it is an amazing modality. There are so many layers of healing that can be done.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Meow wolf and the museums if I’m in Denver.
I would definitely do a day trip to some wonderful hot springs.
Estes Park and the Stanley is also a must see.
A beautiful hike somewhere in the mountains is always worth it.
I also love dinner at the chart house. Great views of the city at night and the food is good!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Edgar Cayce and Dr. John Upledger have both been so important to my growth in my work.
