Meet Valerie Gallardo-Stewart | Realtor – Homegirl, Matchmaker, Advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie Gallardo-Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Valerie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had been injured at work, and began to realize that I was on a path that was hard to uphold. At the time I was engaged and thinking about starting a family. It became clear that if I didn’t make major changes my future would be greatly impacted. At that time, I was a preschool teacher. I loved being in a classroom and teaching/caring for young children, other educators and parents. So it was also important that I was able to impact community as well.

What should our readers know about your business?
I love helping others! I greatly enjoy the home buying process all together, supporting people through the journey in its entirety is super rewarding.
Not only seeing people get into their dream homes, but also helping them understand the process, finding creative ways to work through any need or possible issue. Showing people that home ownership is truly attainable, and while it is hard work, there is always ample places to grow in real estate. Of course learning and giving counsel is often a portion of the job as well. I love that I get to wear many “hats” as a Realtor, while teaching, supporting, offering counsel from contract to close. As a business owner it is incredibly important to me that my relationship is not complete at the closing table. If anything it has only just begun. I strive to be a resource, for anything! Obviously house related, but I like to be the go to person for everything! Be it food, chiropractic care, home valuation, hvac services and more. My goal is to also create a large network of amazing individuals that can offer the same high quality business and leadership to each and every person that comes through my door! I am proud to have built a business that supports other small business owners and continues to support previous and new clientele in as many aspects of life as truly possible.
It has been a long road to where my business is today, and quite honestly I am not even close to “finished”.
Each day I learn just how much more I want t0 give and achieve. One of my biggest goals has been that while I am working to build my own real estate business, I really want to build for others as well. Meaning, how can I support and grow the businesses of others, or how can I impact others in the process.
As a full time parent as well, I hope that I can also bring understanding in that aspect as well, with clients and colleagues. My kiddo has been my assistant since birth! While parenting and owning a business can be difficult, it has also been a spectacular lesson for myself and my daughter to know we can conquer anything! I hold very dear that I could build a business and be a mom full time too! Offering our family choices.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week, I’d be so excited! We would start with a trip to Leadville to go shopping at my favorite place, Melanzana, dinner at Quincy’s, after hiking the mineral belt trail and visiting friends.
On our way back to the city we would make a stop in Breckenridge, and Georgetown. Honestly, just to walk and enjoy the leaves, air, and overall amazing vibes of our mountains!
As always we would visit red rocks, the perfect trip of course would be if there was a concert, or local band playing. But even just to watch the sunrise, and chat. A voodoo doughnut trip, is always on plan, vegan and allergy friendly, makes it the best! We’d visit friends and family and the always amazing Englewood friends at Englewood Tavern. After catching up, laughing, visiting and enjoying life, we would have dinner at The Chubby Cattle in Denver. We would visit around the Denver metro area for fun stops from our childhood and reminisce or course. From places like Belleview park to Rico’s Pizzeria!
Most likely a pit stop at the Little Bear and more hiking.
Honestly there are so many fun things to and enjoy in Denver, it would be hard to pick just a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
