We had the good fortune of connecting with Wende Wolfe Abrahm and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wende, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As an accomplished international eyewear executive driving product development, design vision, strategic material sourcing, and operations and quality control efforts, Wear Wolfe Attitue, LLC is actually the second women owned business I started. After 16 years consulting with and designing for US based private label brands with my previous business partner, I launched my own sunglass collection under the brand, Wear Wolfe Attitude, LLC to expand my creative process and fulfill my goals of creating a unique sunglass brand in an overly saturated “same ‘ole” sunglass market.

The creative direction behind Wear Wolfe Attitude sunglasses reflects the personality and the attitude the wearer wants to project each and every day. My designs begin with a strong aesthetic, thoughtful and timeless luxury fashion details, artful materials and color palettes, and intentionally elevated quality and craftsmanship.

The Gilded Wolfe luxury sunglass collection highlights the innovative, patent-pending, interchangeable magnetic Attitude charm series. The Active Wolfe lifestyle collection touts state-of-the-art feather weight frames while still providing a fashion edge. Crafting sunglasses from BPA free, recyclable and biodegradable materials supports my desire to create unique and engaging products and remains a catalyst for future Wear Wolfe Attitude collections.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Wear Wolfe Attitude is a brand that is stepping out of the typical sunglass mold. Consciously sourcing BPA free, recyclable and biodegradable materials, I am dedicated to providing unique and engaging product.

My patent-pending interchangeable magnet charms are one-of-a-like and not seen currently seen in the sunglass industry. The design idea evolved as I was researching a jewelry concept and playing with a magnetic wine charm.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lucky for me, my life long best friend (met the first day of first grade) has been to Denver many times. We frequently visit Red Rocks and have seen several concerts including Roger Daltry with the Denver Symphony Orchestra – where we were front row and “almost” pulled up on stge.

Our favorite place to grab a quick bite is either Maria Empanada on S. Broadway or Zo Mama at its new location at Union Station. As for a great cocktail and a perfect girls-night, hands down, Satchel’s on 6th, in Cherry Creek.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
At 54 yrs old, I felt as if I was leaping out of my professional comfort zone when I launched my own sunglass brand. My husband, Brent, was an enormous advocate for me creating my unique sunglass collection. As an entrepreneur himself, he understood the time, energy, dedication and personal investments it takes to start a new business. My three children, Owen (22), Kyle (19), and Peri (19) were equally dedicated in helping and supporting my brand launch. As willing website models, overly qualified IT support, and social media gurus, they were 100% on board with my new vision and brand dream.

Additionally, my “gal” team of supporters was endless! Acting as fit models, critics, and offering their immense knowledge of marketing, sales, and shopping experience, my friends helped me fine tune areas of my business that I was less comfortable in dealing with. As a tribute to my support squad, each of my sunglass styles are named after one of my very special friends.
