Betty Artes | Immigrant Food Entrepreneur

Every aspect of our lives has an effect on the outcome of our carreer. As an immigrant from Argentina at the age of 7 with my family I learned to be uncomfortable with change and learned to turn it into a learning and growing experience. I’m born and raised in Loveland I started Sauce Daddy Hot Sauce last July and this is my first full year as a business. My family has always been into growing food and farming and were pioneers of Loveland. I have always been into peppers and spicy things and growing all types of veggies and fruits. Day one, out of the womb, my dad literally hung me upside down for a spinal adjustment. Considered “new age,” my father was an innovative chiropractic physician, and my mother a gifted massage therapist, very ahead of their times; making kombucha, eating organic, and doing everything wellness related that you could think of even before having 5 kids. I remember coming home after school to a massive platter of cut up raw veggies for a snack, and yes, my siblings and I loved it. My parents had a passion for cooking, so much that two of my brothers became professional chefs.
